My Top 3 takeaways

1 - Whever you Comment, do not address it to the author.

Address it to the Audience.

And make sure to provide Free Coaching and add even more Value (that’s not included in the post)

2 - Jasmin Alić starts every post with “Dear Son”

Ensuring that he is only writing to ONE reader everytime.

He talks about how anyone can do this - And it’s one of the best ways move past Post Anxiety

When you are only writing to one person.

3 - Your Hook SHOULD be a preview to the whole post.

What that means, is that the first couple of lines should be simple enough

That anyone that stumbles on the post, even if they don’t have a Maketing or LinkedIn background

Will understand what the post will be about.

This interview was Godlike.

Man! I've learned so much with Aliç.

I've been following him for a while and his takeaways are super relevant for any business:

1) What is the one thing that I want my reader to learn from this post? - A game changer

2) Re-hook - Absolutely brilliant

3) Dear Son approach - Got it perfectly (got 4 kids ahah)

4) Comment early while being informative to the author's audience + 3 replies on a post - Just Amazing

5) Connect after 10 interactions and keep track on Google Sheet - will definitely implement it

Got other notes but those are my top 5 + the 3 tools mentioned at the end.

Thank you a lot guys.

I loved the "Dear Son" approach. I definitely plan to use that with my granddaughter! I have been wondering how I could simplify my writing for second language learners. Writing to a 9-year-old is the perfect solution!

This was so amazing! He even has a constant facial expression that comes with the "dear son"-vibe. 😅He really comes across like a very loving father with a lot of empathy! Also these insights once again couldnt come at a better time. I wanna get deep into Linked In this year and make it work for me and this is just amazing stuff to know!

Thanks Chris and Jasmin!

LinkedIn is something that I have tried to get a grasp on, but, especially recently, I've just run away from the spam, mainly from people who are trying to sell their cryptocurrency to me...
I'm going to have to watch this again and pay attention to Jasmin and Chris to learn if other people have had this experience!!

The generosity between two passionate creators was such a joy and honor to watch ❤

Now it us time to implement ❤
-Hook and rehook..
-Clear call to action in the title
-Retention
-Inbound
-Community
-Comment daily 20+ (my goal 😅)
-Post daily (daily practice)
-Portfolio
(I need to get that portfolio together--could it be paired with or become a pitch deck?)
🎉Thanks again.

Top 5 Key Takeaways.

1. Write better hooks and re-hooks in your LinkedIn posts to grab attention and improve retention. Ask yourself - what's the one key thing you want readers to learn? State that clearly in the hook.

2. Comment thoughtfully on other people's LinkedIn posts to increase your visibility and brand authority. Aim to provide value for all readers, not just the original poster.

3. Optimize your LinkedIn profile to clearly show what you do and have a strong call to action. This converts profile views into leads.

4. Consistently practice writing daily, even if you don't publish it. This will help you improve your writing skills over time.

5. Building personal brand and authority on LinkedIn takes time but can change lives. Focus on empowering others, not just gaining reach or monetization.

This is Goldmine of knowledge. Thanks for sharing Jay & Chris.

This is one of the BEST information on Linkedin - Chris and Jay-You made this so simple - I'm going to make sure to implant this Today- 12/31/23

Take AWAYS
Visual-make it easy to read - People like to see your face- take tons of pictures of yourself

Hook - and Re- Hook them to make sure if you promise something in the hook- you give it in your post so the reader will read your post to the end

What to say and say it effectively- Dear Son- write like you are speaking to one person and then put love Dad- Just make sure you delete Dear Son and Love Day before posting it

Comment- Comments are what going to increase your engagement- comment and speak to the audience, not the author- 3:1- One main comment- 3 replies

Don't make them THINK
Tools- edit anything ( one word) extension
Sorry- I didn't get the other ones

Absolutely agree with the take on TEXT ONLY. I did this as a practice even though I'm a branding designer, I wanted to improve my writing skills and thats what I did in a month returned back to doing carousels and statics. MY GOD its such a big difference on engagement and even just the quality your posts will be. I've now picked up Threads and I'm loving the writing process.

Jasmin is a machine! And he’s definitely made LinkedIn more interesting for me (I agree Chris - his posts are filled with gold).

Lovely to hear the “behind the scenes” of what goes into growing a following on LinkedIn… and the inbound/outbound approach difference. Glad that my commenting approach has been “on the right track”.

One thing I’ve also tried - is a combo of outbound / inbound… so - connecting with new people, but also ensuring I share gold, and long term - it would be great if it warms them up. Will test and see, but my current audience is much smaller
