I used to be a big fan of the EWU crew, watched almost all of their videos. What I found odd was that pretty soon after they posted the video with Nic Sonderegger the EWU Crew completely changed the format of their videos. No more of the members of the family in the videos, no more "exploring" deserted places; now they mostly play police interviews for murder cases and do some narrating in between. Even the voice is AI generated (or the dad's voice with voice changing software). The change was sudden. They did a video about Nic going missing, it seemed like they were a little scared to talk about it, then the format change. One day, they had a whole new channel, and it seemed very odd.

I have pondered for quite a while on what might be behind the many tales about cryptid creatures like the Sasquash in North America and the Yeti in Asia and other unidentified hominid types in various places around the world. There have been too many personal observations about these things for them all to be hoaxes. A few years ago I read an interesting book by an Australian named Danny Vendramini titled: Them and Us. The author has a theory about what the Neanderthal looked like and behaved which is quite different to the official view of this hominid in paleontology. The Neanderthals became extinct about 25000 years ago at the latest and possibly a lot earlier, and, according to Vendramini and others, it was our ancestors who wiped them out. Thinking about it I wondered whether it was possible that some of the Neanderthals could have survived into the present era in the many isolated places of the world where these cryptic sightings have occurred. There may have been other hominid species that also survived. Who knows? At any rate, it's something I have found interesting to think about. Also, I recommend the book. It's an interesting read whether you agree with all or any of the author's conclusions.
