Didn’t Hamilton have massive input to the design of this car? I’m sure the Sky F1 team were reporting he was sitting in on the meetings with engineers to tell them what he wanted and what he had seen spying on all the other cars(RedBull in particular)so now he has driven it in the simulator he’s out of there like a rat up a drainpipe 😏

Lewis, i just wish u luck, its been an honour to watch u win championship after championship with the Silver Arrows n u will always remain in our memories. U never gave up especially when things weren't good especially in the last 2,3 seasons, .U smiled even though our Car was underperforming but u had this 'LETS KEEP ON PUSHING TOTO' n that made us believe that we gona get there. Hamilton has always wanted to drive for Ferrari and the timing makes sense. He gets comfortable with the team for 2025 and ready for the 2026 changes. This completely echoes his move to Mercedes, which was the year before a regulation change as well. I personally find all the shock and surprise at the move amusing. I didn't see the move coming, but it doesn't seem out of the blue either. If he was going to drive for Ferrari, this was the time to make the move.

It would be a surprise if Ferrari could make a winning F1 car, last time they needed an Englishman, Frenchman and a German.... But if the car is good enough it will be Charles, not Lewis.

Lewis will not win his 8th title at Ferrari. The car is not good enough and the team is not good enough. Too many mistakes have been made in recent seasons, including in strategy. I don't see that improving with the arrival of Lewis. Lewis will also have to get used to the car. And then he has to deal with Leclerq who is already used to it. There is also a good chance that McLaren will overtake Ferrari in the rankings. Which makes it even more difficult and unlikely to win the 8th title. I also think it is ungrateful of Lewis to leave. He owes everything to Mercedes and now that things are not going well he is letting them down. It would have been to his credit if he had realized that the 8th title is not in sight for him. And the best thing to do is ensure that the team where you have had all your successes gets a well-functioning car again.

What a great ending to an amazing career if he could win a championship with Ferrari with a 3rd team. The reality is he has nothing loose. I’ve never personally understood it but every driver always says they want to have drives for Ferrari. Either way it’s a good move and he prob has up to 5 years max and this will be his last opportunity before retirement so just go for it!

Lewis has only moved f1 teams once, and he made a pretty good decision is what I think anyone would say. Looking forward to seeing if he's right about this move as well. He wouldn't have left mercedes if he didn't see something in it

If there’s anyone who can build a championship winning car, it’s Lewis. Problem is that this will most likely take multiple years, especially with a team like Ferrari. Once the car can challenge for the title, Lewis will already be 40+ he won’t beat Max or Charles at that age
