Look at the amount of late inswing in the second spell, Jonty Rhodes' wicket onwards. It was standard back in the 90s, but today we hardly see such reverse swing anymore.

It's not that India didn't have fast bowling talent. Bowlers like doda Ganesh and Amit bhandari were wreaking havoc at domestic level. I think Indian fast bowling collapsed when Manoj prabhakar was ousted from India. Had he been given longer run since India was a weak bowling unit anyhow. Apart from that promotion of bowlers like Robin Singh who were very slow bowlers also weakened bowling. India didn't have proper slog hitters before dhoni. However other teams were upbeat on these two aspects plus fielding. if India aims to win wc good fielders like jadeja and Kohli . Good sloggers like pandya. And good fasties such as bumrah must be on top of flight. In 2011 same things were done by dhoni yuvraj zaheer Sachin and sehwag.
