As a lithuanian I feel very reassured when I see NATO troops. NATO does whatever it has to keeps us safe.

- NATO has an agreement not to station allied troops in Eastern Europe? Since Baltic states have nothing to do with Eastern Europe this "long standing" agreement is a fluff

The agreement regarding the permanent presence of nato troops is already dead with the permanent us base in poland .

Yes. The more allied troops the merrier. Would love to have Australian, Japanese, Taiwanese and Korean troops to.

Amazing to know that there’s some troops in the Baltics, I really do hope that we keep our agreement and protect them at all costs

Latvia is building the largest army base/polygon in the baltics base "zalve" also LV is establishing mandatory conscription which will drastically increase host army unit amount.

Nato troops are the best drinking buddies at local bars.

Lithuania. This week: we go with the colleagues for work related things in Vilnius - roads are full of military convoys with Boxers and personel vehicles - exercising.
We come back to Klaipėda, we work near the port - German transport vessel and a frigate parked.
Sure, those few soldiers and vessels would not deter ruzzia. However, military presence is everywhere a lot of times. And endless troops in Poland would probably be here in no time.
So I feel pretty safe, especially considering how well NATO weapons and tactics work against ruzzia in Ukraine. Our guys have that too. Plus, ruzzia is stuck there and I'm pretty sure San Marino could march to Moscow and take over the country with little resistance.

No, I'm serious, can't wait for San Marino colonies in ruzzilandia.

Just yesterday i saw a few German Marder 1s being sent here by rail when going from Šiauliai to Vilnius. It's good to see that our allies are commited to defending us! 😁

Recently I saw an article about the training of Portuguese troops on our Klaipeda beach. So I've seen them eating ice cream at the Akropolis shopping center 😄

As a Lithuanian I feel reassured, seeing allied foreign military ships and sometimes personnel just reinforces the idea that even if there might not be a large force, they'd be one of the first troops on the front alongside us, drawing those countries more truly into the conflict and not leaving us alone and making our fight a distant thing from home.

I know war isn't likely, but it's good to be re-assured by NATO allies at all times, sharing expertise with our troops and cooperating and training together pushes our country forward militarily for sure.
