HeadsupCAN Concussion Webinar

On September 23rd, 2020 HeadsupCAN hosted a Concussion Webinar with industry experts and professional/amateur hockey players to bridge the gap in communication and understanding of this "Invisible Injury".

The first panel looked at the holistic approach to concussion recovery and featured Keith Yeates (Executive Chair of the Canadian Concussion Network), Stephanie Cowle (Director of Knowledge Translation, Parachute Canada), Natasha Wilch (Owner of Symphony Rehabilitation) and Stephanie McFarland (Occupational Therapist and Project Lead at Holland Bloorview Concussion Centre).

The second panel looked at challenging the stigma surrounding concussions in sport and featured Daniel Carcillo (2x Stanley Cup Champion, owner of Made Plant Health), Paul Rosen (3x Paralympian, 2006 gold medalist in sledge hockey) and Molly Tissenbaum (Former Harvard Women's Hockey team goalie, analyst at Sports Innovation Labs).

There was a lot of valuable insight from these discussions, and we look forward to putting together more events like this that brings the conversation of concussions to you!
