ОтветитьI’m so sorry but I’ve to talk about the “toxic positivity”, one of the main dogma of our Consumerism society. “You can be whatever you want”… is not true… because not everthing depends on you… if you believe that you are opening many harmful doors like selfexploitation and frustration… all of us have a different socioeconomic start… if you came from a poor family from a rural area of Central America… would you leave your job and your family to round the World…? An example of the hedonistic, selfish values of our consumerist world. There are not shortcuts for happiness, the shelfishness leads you to instant gratification (perfect for marketing goals) but long term to depression, because you deeply think that “everything depends on you” and that is a lie that companies want you to believe.

Through his speech, I felt like I was getting on his own ship and experiencing and exploring some really interesting moment together.
I mean, I could indirectly experience what he had experienced and learned through his entire speech!
It was really worth to listening.

ОтветитьMartin's key point is that through following our hobbies and taking any risks, we should try to live each day to the maximum. However, despite how motivational the speech may be Martin did not address the disparities in access to opportunities, therefore some individuals would not have the same finances or opportunity to follow their interests and live life to the fullest. In addition, he emphasizes the idea that doing a regular job cannot make us happy, while many individuals may be really content to have stability in their lives.

ОтветитьIf you are watching this video you are already on the right path. Many people dont even want or like to wathc ted talks and i wonder if they dont want to improve or belive they cant. A growth mind set is one the best things to have so i encourage you all to keep learning new things so that you can find what you are looking for one day and reach your goals

ОтветитьThe most miserable people I met while travelling, were those who have been travelling for so long, that they don't seem to be able to adapt to anything normal in this world. Frustrated guys in their mid 40s or 50s travelling for more than half their lives. Trying to act and feel young and free, but reality is that they seem to be lost. Just because something is right for someone it doesn't mean that is for everyone. Travelling is another illusionary trap of freedom. You are free already. Life can be lived to the fullest, even without travelling, oh and even with a 9-5 Job.
