Why don't you try canvas for acrylic paint it would be very nice
ОтветитьTo use Acrylic paint don't use layering to much
ОтветитьScott I love your drawings very very much but this one feel like it is staring into my soul no hate ❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьSkill matters😂
Ответить"I made a complete mess"
The mess looks better than my face
Did you just say eye gor
ОтветитьTry it on canvas I'm sure you'll create a masterpiece ❤❤❤
ОтветитьLooks like Darrin Stevens when he became a Witch (Dick Sargent)
ОтветитьI use alcohol to thin out the paint. Isopropyl alcohol works good. Also if you want to remove paint from the canvas/brushes...alcohol works just fine.
ОтветитьAcrylics are a model hobbiests bestfriend also if it's dragging you are not watering them down enough seemingly not at all
ОтветитьAcrylic paints mind be like: THESE PAINTS TOOK ME MONTHS TO MAKE AND YOUR CALLING THEM JELLY!?
My mind: ok not every artist uses the same paint so fine ok
If you're truly ridding yourself of them, plz donate them to the Nashville School for the Arts. If you might want to try ONE more time, buy a little spritzer bottle, and periodically spritz the work, not so it's drippy, though. It helps increase blending time.
ОтветитьThat is a very neat mess you made of igor I get what your saying when I use acrylics I feel a drag about them. Where as watercolor you can blend mix lighten go over with colored pencil when dry. It's not your median but I think you did an incredible job
ОтветитьTry using mediums to make them behave more like oils 🙌
ОтветитьI’m trying to learn to paint with Acrylics but I am having so much trouble with them and I’m not sure if it’s because my first love is pencils or if it really is the acrylics themselves . My instructor says I should switch to oils.
ОтветитьAcrylics look different because they are meant to get the thing creative, unique and different. Therefore they usually do not look like the reference
ОтветитьWhy are you using thick heavy body acrylic if you think it is thick bro
ОтветитьI’ve used a few different acrylics the ones you’re using were the worst I’ve tried Windsor and Newton make the best
ОтветитьMake a video where you are listening to country music, while drawing with acrylics and drinking coffee and licource
Ответитьsame! my mother bought me a 24 set of acrylic paints, ive tried to paint with it. the paint wont blend! i wanted water color, but since my mother bought it, ill use it❤
ОтветитьIsn't acrylic the plastic paint? They're better for flat coating something with a solid color and then bold lines on top once the previous layer dries... think wallpaper art.
ОтветитьI feel u
ОтветитьI want to see what you feel about oils
ОтветитьSir your mess is a masterpiece for us😅
ОтветитьI’m not confident in acrylics either, but I have to use them for my first year university assignments. I have no clue what I’m doing
ОтветитьDid you say it's bad? Yes
Did I listen to you? No
Did I buy it? Yes
Did I use it? No
You don't like black licorice, county music, or coffee... I now connect with you on a much deeper level.
ОтветитьIf acrylic feels icky then oil paint feels like clay if I don't use a medium.
ОтветитьMaybe not helpfully but I paint miniatures as a hobby and we use acrylics because they are the best for the plastic models it might help to thin thin them with a little bit of water
ОтветитьBe careful guys (and girls), Scott is gonna start his villain arc.
ОтветитьI love Acrylics but I've been at them for over 5 years and still learning techniques but I personally like the look but essentially Acrylics is learning how to play with the paint and tricking the eye with certain stroke techniques
ОтветитьI can only do acrylic 😭 I’m to learn to work with oil it’s not going well 😭😭
ОтветитьAs a acrylic paints artist I don't know anything about watercolors
ОтветитьAdd water
ОтветитьI myself prefer acrylic paints (other than watercolour, I also want to try gauche because it looks fun)
With acrylics, sure, you can shoot them into a pallette, but here's a few tips from my experience with using them
• When you have tubes, squeeze small dots on to the canvas and make a gradient using a larger paintbrush for the background. It's easier than trying to paint with the Jello like texture
• Whenever it comes to painting the characters, trees, sceneries, buildings, etc; start off with small paintbrushes (either average to microscopic bristles), it helps to get into crevaces and even blends a bit better, ESPECIALLY if you do simple quick strokes
That's all for my advice
(Also, I believe I saw you in a store a while back- legit freaked out and choked on my words so I couldn't say hi, if it was you)
I completely agree, I’ve NEVER liked acrylic, I prefer anything else
ОтветитьAlso a tip: start with the mid tones first, and than do the shadows and highlights.
YOUR ACRYLIC PAINTING LOOKS GREAT. YOU'RE VERY GOOD AT IT! Thank you Scott.
Although I mostly do art with graphite and charcoal, I'm still an acrylic artist, and I'm really bad at watercolor! 😂 But you've taught me a lot, thank you.
ОтветитьI am currentLy in my art 4 class in my junior year of high school, I hate painting it feels like pulling teeth, my speciality is line work, but my teacher wants my to work with more color. So im gonna try to make water color my synthesis this year, do you have any tips?
Ответитьu need to water them down, thats the trick
ОтветитьFor you I'd say you need to stop trying to "force them around" like gouache, and work in layers rather than all at once
ОтветитьI 100% agree fr
ОтветитьBro just said all of my favorite things and insulted them💀
ОтветитьTry painting on wood
ОтветитьI like acrylics but they are sometimes difficult to do paintings
ОтветитьAnd I made a complete mess
Me: 👁 👁
👄
I respect the honesty 😂
ОтветитьWell acrylics are meant to blend
ОтветитьIt's funny for me to hear that you struggle with acrylic paints because they're quite my favourite medium to work with, while on the other hand, I had to use Gouache in school, and I HATED them. Everything you described about acrylic paints and why they don't work for you, is how I feel about Gouache. They're so thick and sticky and I just can't handle them. I'm always mixing acrylic paints with water to make them softer, but that doesn't work with Gouache somehow... Thank you for being so open and talking about so many different topics! ❤️❤️❤️
