I don’t know if this person ever house shared for a long period of time, but everyone I know including myself has had horrific experiences living with random strangers and having to always deal with so much unnecessary stress because one can’t afford anything better than that and have privacy, let alone building a home on your terms where you feel safe and respected. Not sure where she’s going with this 🤷🏼‍♀️

When men got married they got a band of bothers to work with and defend with and hang with. When women got married they got a sister hood to all parent with. That is the way we evolved:

This is also why 40% of people are Lonley and why we have a meaning crisis. You don’t seek out meaning when you’re working along side others.

Dorm is the exact opposite of communal living as there is no responsibility for the welfare of others either financially or otherwise.
Living in a condominium will give you a taste of true communal living… some people participate, others do absolutely nothing, and it’s nearly impossible to get anything meaningful done, neighbors that once love each other become mortal enemies, So, they end up putting all decisions in the hands of a paid management company which winds up being the only one benefiting from these horrific living circumstances. There has to be some independence.

We have already seen the communal living with the huge housing projects in democrat run cities. It is a disaster.

People remove themselves from communities to protect their child. id like to see the argument that says open your child up to potential danger because i think that is a better community for all of us

After the military and university, I despise doing anything communal. I need my own space or it feels like I'm dying. I could live alone forever.

She is wrong. Communal living only works when the social bonds between individuals are the weakest. This usually occurs when people are unattached sexually active young adults and they are not married. And it also occurs in senior living when the most of residents are again single because their spouses have passed on. The strongest, most successful social unit ever devised is the nuclear family. Social arrangements work when the social relationships fit the arrangement.

Who's paying? Entire families should move and create communities just based on their children age?

Everything she said is right as long as the community is supportive and really social.

If not then it becomes so dangerous to live with such a community. You would like to protect your children from the impact of such a community.

A nuclear family is not a choice but a compulsion of modern society.
