Are viruses alive? If you consider seeds are alive then viruses are alive. At least they have potential to alive, but our life cycle is always about the potential and the actual to be alive.

What about viruses that switch species? All these theories does not explain how things like the Spanish flu came about. You can't trace it back to a common ancestor when they can jump species.

If viruses depend on a host to survive, how can they have existed before celluar life? How do they survive outside the host before they enter the host?

I remember learing the seven characteristics of living organisms. Growth, Nutrition, Reproduction, Sensitivity, Movement, Excretion, Respiration. All seven must be present to be considered a lifeform. Another point is, isn't the smallest living organism a single cell? If this is correct, then a virus is far too small to be a living organism.

In order to kill something, it must be alive first correct? Viruses can certainly die, so they must be alive before that. If a parasite is considered a living thing, I don't see how a virus wouldn't be considered a living thing.

Viruses or vaccine Why so many new viruses. The need for many new vaccines is growing. I wonder why so much cancer exploding of all types. Auto immune on the rise why. Autism so many neurological disorders on the rise. With the PCR test we will be able to detect viruses so much faster and get more vaccines into people in time to prevent the new viruses from spreading.

The degree of complexity increases throughout evolution.
Thus, less evolved entities must predate more evolved ones.
The same must be true for the phenomenon of the virus.
i.e., the virus has to predate the cell.

The answer is, mutated intestinal bacteria due to poor digestion and food choices. Especially harmful is germ warfare meaning attacking bacteria with harsh chemicals and “antibiotics” which are of fungi origins. Fungi behave differently and once they enter the body and the gut the interaction creates mutations. Defending on how the antibodies were grown, and how clean they were, the bacteria may attack back and defend their body and territory. The only effective antibodies are the original blue penicillin which were grown from some high mineral Uranus Bread. This is why the original penicillin is blue in color.

Can we build something that viruses can infect, but is not alive itself, just to mess with them? How far could we push that? Either as an injectable particulate, or just a surface coating inexhaustible virus sponge?

The more we deny that viruses are alive, the more we hold back further studies on them. They adapt, mutate, reproduce, & infect. Seems quite alive for me. Virus certainly does not fit into the most scientists' definition of "living", but why should we stop there? If at all, they should be classified into a different form of living things. And that the most harmful of them, we should kill.

It's funny that this guys says it with a lot of conviction when he says it's in you, but immediately resorts to words like "may be" or "partly" when saying in me/myself.
