I just watched it and now I’m crying. Properly sobbing. The fact that it’s a true story just breaks me even more.

I first started crying when Luisa announced she was marrying Roman. The expression on Sergey’s face was heartbreaking as he tried to come to terms with what she meant. I was fighting tears the rest of the way until

Sergey found out Roman had died. I just started bawling and it got worse when Sergey visited Luisa and left the little airplane Roman had gave him.

This movie hurt me deep down in my soul. I don’t know the full real story of Sergey and Roman but my heart aches for them even though their story took place many years ago. Life is cruel and unfair and the small joys are only the beacons of light in a dark world. Yet they are the most precious things.

Thank you to everyone involved with this movie. It was so beautiful and heartbreaking and i loved and cried to every minute of it. ❤❤❤

I can’t find any version of this film that has English subtitles. Tried Amazon, Apple & You Tube. No Blu-ray DVD with English subtitles either. Very disappointing that a film about minorities wouldn’t think of other minorities.

I'm from Russia, a heterosexual guy, I watched this movie two days ago, my heart is broken to pieces, this movie is banned in Russia, I could only watch it in English, although my English leaves much to be desired, I understood everything, God, what a sad movie I love and I'm proud that this story the real Sergei Fetisov is heard all over the world! I watched this and couldn't sleep, I don't even cry while watching the movie, but in the night i somehow remember this movie and crying lol, its hurts a lot especially the ending when it shows the flashbacks of sergey and roman in the theater. The fact that this movie based on true story make me down so bad 😭😭😭😭

another film made by the woke agenda, what a bullshit

This film was so deeply moving and so beautifully made that I honestly couldn’t stop thinking about it. You can really feel the passion that went into making it and telling Sergey’s story. The acting and the cinematography are both stellar. The building of Roman and Sergey’s relationship is done is such a perfect, classy, and believable way, and it kept me so tuned in from start to finish. While some compare the film to Brokeback Mountain or Call Me By Your Name, I think this film tops them both as it is a true story direct from Sergey, and not just a work of fiction. I just can’t say enough good things about it and am grateful there is another great LGBT film out in the world. I hope that it continues to spread to new audiences and get the recognition it absolutely deserves. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of the crew and financial backers that made this amazing film possible.

.. having watched and bought the full movie, true story, clearly he decided he could no longer share his life with two such apposing factors along with the risks, so he decided to take his own life by 'crashing' his plane in combat so his wife and child would get his benefits. His letter to his lover is saying goodbye.

It's just sickening to see what is happening.
I've been married to the most amazing woman going on 5 years now. I brought 4 children of my own and she bought my stepson she adopted. Trans-racial adoption was already a difficult challenge for my wife but she loves him like the son he is.
He recently came out to my wife and I about a year or so ago. He is going into his senior year of school.
Like most things in life. We often ignore or overlook them, issues, events, " Moods" that make up our every day interaction with others. That is until it impacts our lives.
Now, she and I fear for his well being so much more. I pray for him and try to give him advice when I can..
Ehhh. It's heartbreaking to see the hearted and evil being brought.

By the way there's a dearth of this gender in your selection Netflix.
