Are third party Nintendo Switch chargers RELIABLE?

It did it with a Chromebook charger and messed it up and smells burnt inside how do I fix it help

no there not my third-party charger was slow and might have damaged my battery and didn't work on my dock

If you dont want to use the charger, then use the dock because it charges my Switch and also because maybe the official ac adapter isnt compatible with your homes cable outlines

I did use a third party for one week since i didnt had my switch cable on vacation but other then that i would never use a third party cable

I have a degree in the university of electric boom, to dumb it down yes you can but there's a risk of damaging the battery, but most companies says the sams thing. Just make sure the black and wire you using is rated for charging more powerful devices, also better results if you dont play while charging because that will also put stress on the battery

I got a Nintendo USB-C charger that is not the AC adapter and it works great!

A high quality usb c is probably more expensive anyways

I used a 3rd party charger too. I later had to get my switch charger port replaced.

i use my phone charger to switch but in my dock i have the official

I’m using my PlayStation 5’s controller charger and it works pretty good

It messed mine up 1st month I got it, using 3rd party chargers. So yes, ONLY Use The Switch Charger.

My Nintendo charger broke ages ago and I have used a windows laptop charger and it’s been working fine. Is that bad?

The usb-c should be usb-c on both sides otherwise it can only output the lower bandwidth/charging rate of the 2 ports

I heard the charger is different based on what country ur buying it from, is that true?
