ОтветитьMS products work like arse on all platforms
Keep away from MS if you can. They're greedy, they have no taste and their apps are unreliable
didn't open that fast in sonoma 14.2.1 same config, m2 mac mini 16/256

ОтветитьFor basic Excel work, the Mac version is great although lacks a lot of the VBA and connectivity to data sources that the Windows has. I have run Office on Parallels for many years for the best of both worlds. Also using Parallels for work keeps it separate from my home “stuff” on the Mac itself.

ОтветитьHow much is the lack of a dedicated numpad a hindrance while using excel or any of its alternatives on a MacBook? I'm planning to switch to MacBook from Windows platform.
ОтветитьGreat thanks I’m getting a Mac then
ОтветитьThank helpe a lot in making my decision
ОтветитьI was hoping that he would talk about using shortcuts in these apps. It's been a real challenge to switch to not using shortcuts in Microsoft Office apps on Mac unlike Windows.
ОтветитьI have been using microsoft office 365 on MacOS since 2019, been working great, using the Free Office 365 for Teachers, great offer
ОтветитьWaste of time
ОтветитьWord and Excell drain energy, (often 80%) and even do that when the Mac is asleep. Word is a terrible program for large reports (over about 80 pages), even on Mac it crashes often (or over heats) if even a few jpgs are added to documents. All in all it has a lot of features and is indispensable since they killed off the competition which at the time were actually. better. (2018 Intel Mac with masses of Ram)
ОтветитьGood info, I’m trying to decide between a Surface pro or a MacBook Air.
ОтветитьIt’s 2023 Microsoft, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make Microsoft Project for the M1/M2 Apple silicon
ОтветитьI am struggling to even get all the xls features working on Microsoft 365 on my iMac pro 2013 + how do you manage to get the XLS window smaller so I can see the desktop at the back apologies for the ignorance I’ve never ever worked with an Apple Mac and I’ve just been given one for Work
ОтветитьI had ms office for Mac. The iOS was updated and I was unable to open any Word or Excel docs. After being shuffled back and forth between Apple and MS, the solution was to copy the files I wanted and put them into a new folder. I cannot open the Word and Excel apps and they are full of duplicate and old files that I cannot delete. This week I had an issue with the keychain pw which resulted in chaos. Hate it.
ОтветитьEven in the App, you cannot get the Photo Album in Powerpoint!
ОтветитьPlease can you share this wallpaper I liked it?😅
ОтветитьHi, does Microsoft Office 365 for MAC run all features, VBA, Macros, and add-ins that run on the Windows platform?
which version of MAC book is running these applications ( office 365, Power BI, Power Query, MS SQL Server, VS-code, Pycharm, Photoshop, ........ ) smoothly
Cost?
Ответитьall is well, but Microsoft Outlook on the Mac is a piece of steaming crap. Slow, heavy, gets stuck, rules don't work as expected...
literally one of the worst pieces of software since Windows Vista...
thank you so much!
Ответить720p in 2023? My eyes hurt
ОтветитьPivot tables in mac are buggy and do NOT work correctly. You get no XLRisk functions and numerous of bugs in both 2D and 3D charts. I love macs but I think I'll switch back to windows laptops purely because of poor MS office performance. Also regarding ppt it crashes a lot. Many times it'll freeze and your document just vanishes. It's not just me, many of my MBA peers when i was in business school had the same issues. Also I recall all my professors that tought any sort of Risk/marketing class that required heavy MS use always recommended we stay away from Mac.
Btw I do own a Mac.
Macros don’t run well on mac. It sucks
Ответитьexperiencing issues with the Export and Import features in Microsoft Office 365 on a Mac, please provide solution
ОтветитьI need to pay to use Excel on my Macbook. the free version is just read.
ОтветитьOne feature I miss in Office for Mac is the side scrolling ability in Word. In the Windows variant you get this ability, with a nice 'book reading' animation as the pages are turned. It sucks that feature is missing from the Mac version of Word.
ОтветитьI just started thinking about the future of 365 with copilot. Three words can you send a chat GTP to meetings. The humans will get a summary of a bunch of AIs talking to each other. There needs to be a big button “keep the boss off my ass”. It even lies about where you’re at the cover for you. You can create a lifelike avatar of yourself and it does your zoom calls for you. It only takes three seconds of audio and then it can automatically generate your voice saying anything but it needs to. So it will answer your phone calls for you also. 😂. If you’re decent at coding right now, the real you doesn’t even have to come to work anymore. A.I. sends you a summary at the end of the day and it also complains about work. Intra-office A.I. rivalry to include flame wars. 😂. The AI start fighting a war on your servers for resources. 😅
ОтветитьGreat video. I have 1 question -- I already subscribed to the online Onedrive / Microsoft 365. Do I still need to install the Onedrive app on my MacBook? What advantage would it have over the online version? Thank you 😃
ОтветитьUI on Mac version may be prettier but less usable IMHO. E.g. Outlook can't display more than the bare minimum of columns unless you turn off reading pane, doesn't show no. of emails in folder, etc. I'm used to the keyboard shortcuts in the Widows version of Excel and the absence on them on the Mac version really affects productivity. At the end, Windows version of Office still is more suited for the pro / hard core corporate worker IMHO.
ОтветитьWill I meet any problems in using word on Mac ? , I am a teacher of math . I want to buy Mac but I am afraid of lacking some features on Microsoft word on Mac
ОтветитьMost of the things are there but I think it's not as easy to use on MacOS as on Windows.
ОтветитьIf I already downloaded from the MS site and want to change them for the ones from the app store, Do I uninstall office from my MAC first or not?
ОтветитьMicrosoft Office apps usually open very quickly on my M2 Air, but if it's been a while since I've opened them or recently restarted the Air, it takes longer (about 6-8 seconds) for Word and Excel to open. Have you noticed that?
ОтветитьHaving used Windows most of my life, Office suite is ingrained into me. After migrating to macOS, I did try out Pages, Numbers (no keynote yet). I have to say I was and am struggling with the mac user lifecycle. At times pulled my hair out as not able to do what i am used to, such as copy the formatting of a cell and apply to the rest.
I did download Office for Mac, but thats to increase my productivity while working. I did end up keeping my MSI Win 10 machine as just in case to jump onto, but i now see myself using my M2 MB Pro more predominantly, in comparison to my Win machine. 😊
Excellent overview Fernando. I hope you do more videos like this. I rarely see any people in business using the Apple productivity software on their Macs. I like the Apple apps but it caused issues with collaboration since there are no cross platform capabilities. It ended up killing my productivity.
ОтветитьI have been using Microsoft Office apps smoothly across iPhone, iPad, iMac and MacBook Pro. Teams behaves very unpredictably. Looking forward to your video on that and perhaps also one on what and how much to expect from Office on iPad. Thank you!
ОтветитьYou don't mention MS-Office 2021 which is the one-time purchase, and therefore vastly cheaper, version for MacOS. Any reason why not?
Ответить🐬 720p?!
ОтветитьFirst class review. Been running Microsoft apps on a Mac since the “demise” of WordPerfect for Mac - started on a PowerBook 3400.
ОтветитьSwitched to a Mac Air nearly 2 years ago. Still dislike Excel on Mac. Clumsy, slow, garbage fast keys, formatting sucks, advanced features kneecapped. I will have to upgrade to a 16gb unit and use parallels. For the rest of it, the Mac is a great machine.
ОтветитьThe fact that you minimize windows instead of using stage manager should be a crime.
Using your desktop for file storage is also really embarrassing.
My corporation uses 365 and it works well on my m2 MacBook Air
ОтветитьFor me as a Mac user who used office suite on both Mac and windows I know for number it’s lacking with some tool, although I don’t use excel, the thing I like the most with the MAC version is the UI design of the toolbar it looks so much more modern and more intuitive instead of multiple drop down menus on the windows side. Once you get the hang of what all the symbols mean, or use the search tool, it’s easy to do things like change the proofreading language, etc.
ОтветитьHi. Can MS office extend to full screen.?
