Thanks Brian 🙏
ОтветитьI just came across this channel and it covers a lot of the books I enjoy(ed). These videos are such a useful recap of the books I read and introduction to the books I want to read. Thanks Brian!
ОтветитьI'll remember this for the next time!
ОтветитьAnother Jordan myth perpetuated. Did he get cut his freshman year? Yes.
But here’s what NOBODY EVER TELLS YOU - he got cut from the VARSITY squad as a freshman. However, he still played up a level on the sophomore team.
If you’re going to give examples, at least be honest and don’t mislead with half-truths.
You are real. I love this content!
ОтветитьOMG this is so wonderful. Nothing less than the secret to a successful life.
ОтветитьThank you Brian!
ОтветитьGreat video as usual !!
ОтветитьThis book is simply magnificent awesome and inspiring
ОтветитьHuge fan, Brian. Huge Fan! So much respect.
ОтветитьThis is one of my favs Bri!!! I owe you a call this year bra! Bri Nation!!!!
ОтветитьAs a new Vice Principal, I will be using these big ideas as a springboard to effectuating change with my teachers, parents, students and stakeholders.
ОтветитьReally nice summary! The one thing you can do that will dramatically improve your video is to use a lavalier mic -- audio quality makes a huge difference in audience experience and perception of production.
ОтветитьM.Jordan tried out for the varsity basketball team during his sophomore year and not his freshman year at Laney (N.C.) High School , but at 5'11" (1.80 m), he was deemed too short to play at that level when he was cut from the team.
ОтветитьThanks for this video. I'm prepping for a seminar and I wanted to talk about mindset but wasn't finding the time to spend looking through the book. This is short and helpful and now all I have to do is work on translation! Thanks!
ОтветитьSelf help books are so hard for me to get into and your summarizing the book is helpful. Get right to the meat spit out the bones. Thanks.
ОтветитьI found out about Dweck and the fixed vs growth mindset in a book called Bounce by Matthew Syed. I'm getting this book soon. It's definitely one of the most thought-provoking subjects I've come across in a long time. Btw, thanks so much for doing these! I can tell you put a lot of effort into these. Here's to growth!
ОтветитьLove this one! The ONLY real failure for me is quitting. Thanks Brian!
ОтветитьBrian you are amazing, thanks for these videos :)
Ответитьthanks for your effort that you put into making these videos
ОтветитьI read the book and I have to say, your ten minutes summary was much more enjoyable than the book itself. I mean Carol's ideas are awesome, but the book was just too repetitive and long-winded. Not like your video :)
You are amazing Brian, thanks for your effort that you put into making these videos!
I can't thank you enough for these videos, I feel like you were sent to answer my questions haha
ОтветитьHey Brian I wanted to say Thank You for what your doing. Your really taking these videos seriously and dishing them out quit often and I listen to your videos on my way to work. I've incorporated many concepts and am proud to say I've found my "edge". Thanks! Keep them coming =)
ОтветитьI was checking out this book called Crucial Conversations by, Kerry Patterson, Joseph Greeny and others. It seems like a great book so far. If you haven't heard of it check it out.
ОтветитьOne of my favourite visual artists is a guy called Anthony Jones. Growing up, he was the kid in class that was good at music. In his early twenties, he was a plumber. At the age of 23, he got sick of the direction his life was heading, and began studying art for 14 hours a day. Within a year, he got his first job, and six years later, he's one of the best concept artists out there. Not sure if his mindset was growth or stubbornness, maybe a little of both.
ОтветитьLife changing book for sure. If I had to suggest only 5 books for a person to read in their lifetime, this would be one of them! What I found is that it's easy to intellectually understand the growth mindset but it takes a lot of effort to internalize it in certain areas of life. Thanks
