Samsung Galaxy How to Block Unwanted, Spam, Scam and Unknown Callers

is this same as private calls? i was afraid "unknown" means the numbers i don't have it saved in my agenda

I've been receiving 300+ spam calls a month...

would be great if you could go to recent call list and simply click the number than have to copy manually

I don't know why many s23 ultra phones don't have the option for caller id and spam protection. It's on the Google phone app , but not the Samsung phone app. I want to use the Samsung phone app . I don't know why its not there.

That's BS .. u think I want to manually enter hundreds of spam calls I get one at a time by typing in each number...thats crazy it would take me a month to do that.. I receive probably 20 a day if u answer they just hang up on you and it really pisses me off, so ur saying I can't go to my recent call list and long press on a span number then go down the list and tap each one I want blocked and so it that way ? How stupid is samsung to think we want to enter one at a time .. I may be a iphone user before u know it if they can't fix that issue

My phone is unlocked, I had to download hiya And I'd subscribe for the yearly rate of $15 plus tax. I think it's a pretty good deal i'm going to wait to find out if it works I work nights so I get 50 spam calls during the day what I'm trying to sleep. I wish my phone would've came with this app already in it that's where they have to pay for it

My phone has no such option as, caller ID and spam protection. Same phone, no option.

What if it's advertising spam we want to block. Some unidentified app is spamming an ad every 2 minutes or less.

Most spammers don't have a number anymore you need to block a name/word. It does not seem possible anymore to block names/type in letters and block phrase words and companies from spamming and advertising. I bet Samsung recieved a lot of money to make it not possible to stop this mass advertising by large companies.

This method DOES NOT work with Samsung Android phones! I was told this setting you are describing will not accept incoming numbers that are not in my phone contacts directory. WELL, IT DOESN'T WORK!

I'd be careful recommending Hiya. I went to their site, entered my credit card info, and got an error message about incorrect credit card information. Like a fool, I entered another credit card and the same message came up. I got scared and got out. Both of these cards were hacked the next day.

Strange thing I just gave Walgreens my phone # for the savings card and these texts started and won't quit, I didn't give my # to anyone else in a while other then that.

I've been using the Google app so long and my s22 that I just tried to go back to the Samsung phone app and it is absolutely atrocious.

I did all of that before watching this video and I still receive calls. I even receive them in do not disturb mode. The calls that say scam likely come through all the time.

How do I block it when the spam/scam now used an email "as phone #"? Rather than seeing the person's phone number, it's an email that texted me. I am unable to block it even when I go on settings. Thanks

For some reason, mine is not working and it's so frustrating. I've been getting 15-20 calls everyday from unknown numbers, even though my settings for blocked numbers is correct. Is there any other way?

the numbers r randomly generated so blocking numbers is pointless, what Im pissed off about is that u cant just outright block spam calls coming in.
