Speaking as someone who has raced Real XC courses in Real mountains in the mid to later 90's, this is a farce(!). I seriously doubt these guys could race on a real cross-country course At Altitude (4000' or higher) and handle all the 'fun' any given bit of singletrack or tree could deal out. For, if This is what cross-country is degenerating to, the sport's f__ked thanks to all the UCI Roadie Corporate Whore Scumbags Polluting the rough, Friendly, dirty, pot-smoking, beer-drinking, burrito-eating, somewhat dangerous sport that is mountain-biking. They more than probably don't even have the mountain-biker ethos or spirit; probably feels like what it would at a road race (unfriendly, elitist, overtly competitive, etc.).

London Olympic course... That event where the money talks louder than the track.. looks like an amateur event🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 oh there's a "barrel garden"!!! 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
There was this Red Bull freeride event in this place that was terrible really bad made. I know this park is so beautiful but you insist in doing events that's is no good for MTB.

AWFUL COURSE

I cannot stand these sanitised XC courses. There is no more skill involved in riding this course that commuting to work on a Brompton Folder....... I know it's all done for TV and to get easy access for crowds etc, but what's wrong with having a proper off road course with natural hazards and obstacles?
This is just a Cyclo Cross race on fat tyres. Willing to bet Pidcock could have won this more easily on a Gravel Bike.
