Is this box you use for exporting the images in the same size a rectangle or something else?
Because the rectangle would cause that the animation wouldn't be transparent any more.

HOW TO EXPORT ANIMATED SVG? ANY SUGGESTIONS PLS

I short: You don't animate SVGs like you would with blender (so no keyframes etc.). You alter the sequence frame by frame, export them as PNG and play them after each other.

Great video! For added realism, you could make them thinner on the upstroke. If you watch slow-motion videos of insect flight, you'll see that there is usually a slight collapsing or re-angling of the wing on the upstroke, so it doesn't undo all the work of the downstroke! :)
