Great review , I have this light and really like it , I like that you can tail stand it as well , and all those extra features are great! I have noticed that Nitecore has been getting bashed for overrating there Lumens but I think they got this one right,

I'm looking to get a charger and batteries 18650 what brand do you recommend for this light Thanks!

The actual differences between the original and the 2015 version is that the original used an XM-L2 T6 emitter and the 2015 uses the XM-L2 U2 which is a touch more efficient even though actual max output between the two lights is negligible. Also different is the mode spacing. Why the reviewer is using a very weak 2300mah 18650 is beyond me. Nothing less than 3100mah for this high output light!

I have so many lights that i decided to keep this bad boy in my truck and I just grabbed it and it's so cold here in michigan that the lube actually froze. Time to take it out and warm it up in my shop. Pretty good light but I like the p10 and my tn12 2014 better.

Thanks for the review. I just ordered one myself, and I'm really looking forward to getting it, as it will be my first 18650 flashlight. I do wish Nitecore had put a crenelated bezel on this, but other than that, I think it will suit my needs just fine.

Do these run with normal AA battery? like eneloop?
Or do they have to be the 18650 AA battery?
If they can be ran with normal AA, does it give the maximum 1000 lumen output?

I have a Coast Px-25 purchased from Home Depot. For me, it's the brightest light I've ever had. Using Eneloop rechargeables with it. I don't know if you have experience with this light or not, but if you do, how does this NiteCore compare with it?

I'm about to upgrade my light and I don't want to make a mistake. I'm currently looking at the Olight S20R Baton and this one.

My current light is more than adequate for my job, but with it using 3 AAA's, I'd rather move up to something using 18650s as I know how much power those guys can put out.

Got the previous version . How bright do you need ? There is not much in it imho . Maybe for professional users it makes a difference . These things are brighter than my car headlights . Nice video .

Btw the battery tester is a BIG bonus . Reduces unnecessary recharges . Great idea . Li ion testers hard to come by .

I have bought 2 of these because I love them. I have one to mount on my AR and the other for EDC. Question: they come with a spare switch cover, but are there instructions anywhere by anyone that shows how to actually replace said switch cover?

It's a very interesting light, but I was wondering if you leave it on the strobe mode - and you pres the switch half way - it will turn on the light on the strobe mode ? or on normal mode.

I am looking for a light on which if I pres half way to open the normal mode, and if I press it all the way to open a strobe/defense mode, any idea if there is a model to do this ?

thanks

Great review. Question for you: you were clear that the mode memory returns to the last-used mode when you turn it on, but is that true also when you push the switch down half-way? Or does half-way always go to the brightest mode?

Hmm, I was thinking of picking this one up because I like the mode button, but it will be a replacement for a Convoy S2+ that died on me and the pair of 18650s I already own don't have the raised positive cap to work with this light. :(

You know what makes a great lanyard, not sure what it came off but its a Nintendo Wii lanyard, it tightens to your wrist, before put it on there I dropped the pd35 3 times on the pavement, bummer, wish I had the opportunity to compare in person to the pd35 before I bought

My p12 died on me out of the blue in less than a year. I never dropped it, never abused. I send it back to nitecore CHINA* for a repair. Pretty ridiculous that it failed in about a year.

Thrunite Now has TN 42 CREE XHP70 HI LEDs with an ultra-long distance of 1550 meters.

Now Nitecore TM16GT is lagging behind again. Just when can the New Nitecore TM16GTX extreme Diving Edition with 4 pc CREE XHP70 HI LEDs with 1600 meters plus plus Throw range come? Thrunite has 1550m throw range but Nitecore do not have. Why? Just When you can release your New product!

Hi, I am deciding to buy some rechargeable battery for my nitecore p12. is it better to use 1x 18650 (3.7 Volts, 3400 mAh) or 2x cr123 (each 3 V, 1500 mAh)???

Personally, i prefer to maximize brightness (blinding power) over total running time.

And thanks for the video, dude!
