How to install RAM on Apple iMac 5K Retina

I installed a crucial vegeance ddr3 and when i tried to turn it on it beeped me 3 times. These ddr3 are brand new. I've tested the slots and they all worked fine. Do you know if it's because it's not campatible?

Well, I was considering the 32GB method, but for now, I left the 8GB default RAM in there, and added 16GB extra to bring me up to 24GB for now, I'll probably replace the 2 x 4GB with 2 x 8GB for a full 32GB once I feel more comfortable with the iMac, and my first Mac in general.

Now this says that it's DDR3-1600, however, given that the 2015 iMacs have DDR3-1867, would this really be a slight decrease of sorts in speed of the RAM? Kind of curious is there are updates in this specifically for the Skylake editions.
