We did the 2023 Princess World Cruise. Be careful when booking excursions when you are tendered. Also be prepared for cancelled ports. We had 6 or 7 cancelled due to weather. We did a little more than 1/2 independent excursions & the rest thru the cruise ship. Maybe 6-7 were walk off and let’s see what we want to do. Definitely, a trip of a lifetime.

I’m thinking of going on Holland America’s World Cruise. I’m a little nervous about being at sea 113 days. What is the longest World Cruise you have ever taken?

Some people go on a World Cruise only for the life style, actually not interested in the ports. Thanks for the advice. The availability of food is a real challenge. I loved my World cruise on the Sea Princess. 😊

Hi Gary. Love your videos!! Have you heard anything about a 3 year world cruise? (Life at Sea Cruises, a spin-off of ship management company Miray Cruises) It "sounds" good, but I don't see any reviews on past cruises, as this is 'new'.

I love sea days, therefore world cruises are for me, although I wish Cunard would do a more comprehensive world cruise. Royal Caribbean are doing a 274 night world cruise but we love Cunard.

Gary is a class.act. Unlike other utubers he doesn't make ridiculous attention seeking vid titles
A.k.A. CLICKBAIT, Deceitful contents, crazy look on face,
hands in air just for likes and
Subs. And great content.
Thanks

I'm good with cargo cruises, you can get 60 day cruises for under $8000, go try to find that on a cruise line.

Great tips! Another thing to remember is that you will be the youngest cruiser on the ship if you’re under 55 what is not necessarily a bad thing, just get use to dodging geriatrics and quite early nights.

You're so right with going with the right ship. I was once on a 57-day cruise on Holland America. Oh my God! What a boring ship! Never again with HAL. On any trip.

Cruises are not answer to all traveling objectives. Depending on location, just flying or driving there is lot better. Like the Mississippi cruses, can be better done by car, and visit places you really want in each place.

We traveled on Regent from Miami to Alaska on a cruise that lasted three weeks. While we liked the port stops, we particularly liked the sea days. Regent ships are small with about 750 passengers and are all inclusive.

Tip regarding technology. Get adapters for the foreign plug in you stateroom For example, if from the US, get an adapter for the European plug but do your research about what you can plug into it. It will basically just change format of the plug so your US plug will fit. Most electronics like computers can deal with this, the "block" will say something like 110-220V. Also, if you have a charging block with USB plugs, I've never had a problem. Don't plug something like a hair dryer or fan into it though. Gives you an extra outlet. There is often an extra US outlet behind the TV where it is plugged into. Not sure how the reverse works.

The longest cruise I've been on was 14-16 days and I left fitter too! The gym had a glass walls to see the ocean and views, which made it enjoyable to use. I also walked a lot and ate healthier.

I know this is a older vlog but what do you advise as to packing for a world cruise? I tend to over pack usually. But on Cunard, I want to dress well for dinner and not repeat suits or tuxes more than every 2 weeks. I was thinking of pre shipping my evening suits ahead via the lines service and then bringing suitcases with me . Would that be too much?

I watch these but can’t imagine they’ll ever be factors for me to consider.

At the moment my dream is to get discount economy flights from Australia to a port city in Europe and then look for a sale for an interior cabin on a repositioning cruise across the Atlantic.

Still doesn’t hurt to dream 100+ day cruise around the world still remains the bucket lister

Another thing to consider in tender ports is the fact that if the sea conditions are rough tender ports might be cancelled.
