So Ive heard of raves, but ive never heard of mixing a gothic style with a rave. But I guess there's always a way to mix different things together. I remember being in high school as there were a few goth kids, but none of them wanted to talk as I was curious about it back then.

I wonder if their parents all told them how proud they are of them for getting out of the basement for once?

At what point goth became so kitsch? Doing a radioshow on classic goth got me here.. this looks like a circus after the subtility ant originality of Bauhaus, Siouxsie, Budgie, DCD, Swans and all the others..

I graduated Sr. High in 1991. We had all sorts of cliques, and I never really fit into any of them. Because I took classes like Stage Craft, photography, etc. I got to know the more gothic art class/music loving minded kids. I may not have been a goth in that era, but it didn't matter. I was introduced to Skinny Puppy, Nitzer Ebb, NIN, techno, Depeche Mode and more. They were all people whom I connected with, and me! A black/mixed kid! It didn't matter. I miss those folks now. But every time I see a goth kid in Vancouver I smile. You are all so beautiful. More so than the world at large even knows.
