if i have pc with specification corei5 4460 with intel HD only, it can be capture the primary pc with this ndi without use graphic card??

Will this optiplex will do good quality stream at 1080p60 as a dedicated streaming pc I mean better than super fast is it possible to go down to slow ? Is it handle it? I mean I can get one of this optiplex with i7 4th series to drop off the load from gaming rig and at the same time increase quality of the stream is this going to happen with that kind of cpu? Im going to use it with a capture card

I know this is an old video but I thought I would add this as food for thought for some people. Another thing you could do to help is use a secondary nic card on both pc`s and have a crossover cable going to each computer. With this you would have to give the secondary nic cards static ip`s but it would allow a full gigabit link between computers without other applications using the bandwidth. It would cost a bit more but it it would be worth it.

Great tutorial. New to OBS and been using on single PC (Intel Core i7 With for NVIDIA Quadro P400 , 2GB) and of course, streaming is just very poor quality. Can I use NDI on the single PC to improve the quality of the stream as the spec of the PC is quite high - If so is there a tutorial for this?

I am facing issues with streaming using 2 PCs through NDI , I did all the steps with turning NDI Scan Converter on my Gaming PC and then moving onto the Streaming PC's StreamLabs OBS where I want my gaming pc screen to get capture, but while adding the NDI Source , my gaming pc doesnt get detected on it even though I allowed every stuffs on firewall , even disabled firewall too. Please help

I was going to use 1050tis nvenc for streaming and 2600x for recording on my dedicated streaming pc. will my gaming rig with a 2080ti and 3900x take a performance hit?

What would be better? Ryzen 3 2200g with on board graphics, or they ryzen 3 with a msi gtx 460?

What´s the OBS configuration on the Gamer PC ? Output CBR ? How much 5000, or 50000 ?

thx for this one. btw. how would you verify/test that the stream is actually streaming through that streaming PC and not from the gaming one? I've tried to unplug the ethernet cable while streaming from the stream PC and the stream actually continued without any change. So I assume the stream was still going via gaming PC. And it post likely was streaming from it from beginning.

The best news is that this method is pretty much outdated. Now you can get the NDI Tools kit for Newtek and send the NDI feed without ever having to install OBS on your gaming PC. It eliminates all of the rendering overhead of having OBS open, and takes just a little CPU to send the feed over network. OBS or Streamlabs NDS receive the NDI source and use it just like a capture card.

i wonder why my super old pc wont get this performance. i wanted to use my super old pc parts as a secondary pc for streaming, but with an i54400 and on the obs using the x264 it's pushing only 24-35 fps on the obs preview window O.o

i do have other parts so i guess ima have to go with my old i74790k and a 980 instead. Unless someone knows somehting i dont and can help me ^^

If you're doing this because you have an old processor that can game well 60+ fps, but it is at it's limit doing so and you want to stream, then you should steer away from this video. NDI uses about 20-30% of your CPU constantly just sending it over the network, I have an i5 2500 in my gaming rig. Runs games fine, but when my processor maxes out before the drop on apex legends or in intense fights, you bet my gaming PC starts choking; gameplay remains smooth; however, it chokes the amount of packets it sends to your stream PC, which makes the stream look laggy on your stream pc because all cores are maxxed out on your game PC.
