My PC keeps crashing when I play games. It has nothing to do with overheating. I don't know if it has anything to do with my GPU, PSU, or even my case fans. I have an RTX 2060 and a 650W PSU.

Appreciate Brian you tackling & sharing not so common gotcha issues like this as it also helps so many techs professionally correct oddball system issues out in the field, or for private clients

Look forward to the results of the new CPU cooler, but the airflow in that case seems very circumspect

A very good summary of why I gave up building my own PCs. So frustrating to get random crashes which, as your video shows, can be very very hard to track down. And you're an expert!!

Your water cooler is upside down. The tubes need to be pointing down towards the bottom of the case. When you have the tubes on the top, the air inside the loop will float to the top and constantly get sucked into the pump block. There it will cause cavitation damage, coolant starvation of the pump and fin block, and reduce the life of the pump.

With the tubes pointing down, the air will float to the back of the radiator and remain trapped there, away from the pump block and pump itself.

GN has done extensive testing on radiator orientation, and tubes down is always the preferred mounting method. The next would be the radiator flat on the top of the case.

I'm not a fan of the airflow path in that case. In through the front and then immediately out through the side. The VRMs are probably 'sweating'. I'd take the side off and aim my big room fan at the board, while testing. I use a Corsair case that has the fitting for water cooling in the top, though I just use air cooling and have two fans there.

It's good to suffer, because you don't listen!
I told you that you will have a water cooling malfunction problem due to incorrect installation of the refrigerator (inlet-outlet at the highest point = air pocket = malfunction of the entire cooling system)
I wrote to you: "If you can't turn the refrigerator 180 degrees, find a way to place the entire machine upside down" in the comments of the video you made this computer.
The point where the pump tubes are connected to the refrigerator is also the reservoir of the system in the closed-sealed liquid cooling circuits. So when you place the refrigerator chamber where the pump tubes are connected at the highest point, automatically whatever air is present in the cooling circuit is transferred there, creating an air pocket. Due to the low hydrostatic pressure at which the pumps operate in these systems (circulating and not pressure pumps) they are unable to suck in coolant with the result that they do not provide cooling and self-destruct due to a lack of coolant that also acts as a lubricant for their ceramic bearings.

After setting up a nice pc I bought from Quiet PC, Specs DB1a Fanless 1.5GHz Intel 11th Gen Core i9 11900T 8C/16T 35W 16MB Rocket Lake CPU + CPU. Rendering audio with software, it would instantly crash with reboot, after much troubleshooting, what fixed this for me was to change a bios setting. I Set "Smart Load Line" setting in bios to "Enabled" definitely Smart Load Line enabled in bios, solved this problem for me.

Ok Brian one thing I would like to know is if my current BIOS is out of date but do not have any problems should one just leave well alone? I notice you usually use AMD CPU's as opposed to the Intel ones so is there any advantages to use an AMD processor?

Brian you may need to have a look at the pins on your socket as I noticed that one maybe bent when you was putting the CPU back on at the end. As the AIO looked like it was moving around the socket too loosely and you could have bent a pin

Hello Brian, I wanted to bring to your attention that there have been numerous reports of faulty AIO cooling systems causing CPU overheating. This may be a potential issue with your build. Unfortunately, it's unclear who is responsible for these faulty systems. It seems as though companies are more concerned with profit than resolving the issue. It's suspicious that this problem has persisted for so long without a solution. Additionally, I noticed some anomalies in the CPU's motherboard pin-out. There are two areas that seem out of shape, but I couldn't confirm if they're touching as the focus wasn't quite right. It may be worth inspecting these areas with a magnifying glass. on the upper black side left top corner, and on the white side bottom left of middle.

It's worth considering the VRMs as suspect. Using water cooling means that they don't get any direct airflow and start to play up.
I had a customer with several dozen PCs using large passive coolers and when summer arrived they all started to crash. As a temporary solution I under-clocked the CPUs until I could order enough fan coolers.

got an AK620 zero dark air cooler from DEEPCOOL and it works great for my 5800x and it's 260w max tdp is more than enough for any cpu you throw at it and it is am5 /am4 compatible without needing to change the original backplate unlike my old hyper 212 evo which is a pain to install on am4.

The reason why it’s so hot in that case is because of bad airflow. You have air coming in the front which is immediately being sucked out the side. I reckon if you move the radiator to the front it will cool down.
