Albany Firebird hopeful speaks to CBS 6

At 5:00 a.m. Saturday morning, with Capital Region roads blanketed with snow, the doors opened at Afrim's Sports in Colonie. More than two dozen athletes braved the elements on mission to earn an invite to the Albany Firebirds camp.
Averill Park graduate James Mooney was among them.


CBS6 was the only station invited to cover and participate in the Firebirds' open tryout, which lasted for two hours. Morning anchor Chet Davis dusted off his football cleats and even challenged former arena football MVP Darius Prince in 1-on-1 drills.
