Why would you use 12/2 or 12/3 for lights the wires are more expensive
ОтветитьThank I'm in the process putting a ceiling fan in
Ответить✅👍
ОтветитьBeen trying to understand a threeway switch connection watching all sorts of videos for a week or two. You explained it better than anyone else ive seen
ОтветитьThanks for this video. Never knew how to do electrical work, now I do. I was so scared at first but you make it simple to do. Glad I found this channel.
ОтветитьThe second way seems busier and messier.
I like the first method better.
ANOTHER excellent video. This might help folks grasp the idea of what is happening by showing a whiteboard schematic of the switch terminals and how the current flows (or does not flow) based on the switch position between the hot and neutral incoming power wire. It helped me to understand why certain wires are connected to the common screw of the switch.
ОтветитьExcellent video as always. You have a knack for easy to understand explanations. Much appreciated.
ОтветитьIs the 12/3 wire to the light
ОтветитьMade the room super cold, and a great strong fan. If you feel no air hit the switch on the side of the fan - you must have had it on reverse like it came
ОтветитьStep one: don't wire lighting circuits with 12 gauge wire... 14-2/3 is all you need and SO much easier to work with. Otherwise great demonstration.
ОтветитьThank you, works a treat..! ❤🎉
ОтветитьThanks for the tuition, training while made redundant.❤
ОтветитьI used the ponytail method🎉
ОтветитьThank you so much if it wasn't for you and this video I would've fried a terminal. 😮
ОтветитьQuestion, are you not using 14 gauge at all? And if not, why?
Ответить@theexcellentlaborer Great video and very clear instruction. Question, can I run to any light of a series of lights with this process? I’m a new subscriber, plan to use your amazon store. Building my home and saving thousands by DIY.
ОтветитьSir you are a amazing teacher. Thank you
ОтветитьAll ya goh due 😂
ОтветитьGreat instructional video. Thank you. Couldn't you have used 14-2 and 14-3. More economical and easier to work with...
ОтветитьGood bueno amigo go
ОтветитьThank for this videos👍
ОтветитьThanks you sir ❤
ОтветитьThanks you sir ❤
ОтветитьHow do identify a common wire while having two Black and white Wire? I think method two is what im needing but have the issue of one switch having to be constantly on for the upstairs to turn the light on and off, meaning if the downstairs switch is off the upstairs switch wont work.
ОтветитьI found the first way easier set up to do -but both ways you are great explaining the techniques 👍
ОтветитьExcellent video in many ways.
Ответить3 way switches have always been an issue for me. Watched this and did it yesterday. It works!
ОтветитьAlways had a problem understanding the three way but I seriously clicked on way you explained it. I really believe I can do this now. If only I seen this earlier. Thanks
ОтветитьRobertson green screwdriver.
ОтветитьHi, why do you not need to use the neutrals? I have a light/fan combo and vanity light on a 2 gang but unsure what to do with the whites
ОтветитьWhy are you using 12/2 for power and not 14/2 wire?
ОтветитьGreat informative video, it helped me solve installing switches in my daughter's home. Thank you.
ОтветитьListen and watch at 2 times speed somehow it sounds normal to me but very informative
ОтветитьJosh thanks alot
ОтветитьDo u have a vid of how to have a 3way plus pull power at ether end to do a seperate light switch without interference with the 3way
ОтветитьLove the videos keep them up. But I keep shaking my head when i see all those 12/2 and 12/3 wires just for lights. Its like its ok but then so is putting a 50 hp 3 cylinder diesel motor on your push mower, right. You can do it but really not necessary. Especially these days when a roll of 12/2 went up from $42 per 250' roll to $250 per 250' roll. I'm actually a contractor that works as well. Keep up the great videos.
ОтветитьDude! Thanks for these videos.
ОтветитьThank you. That was the best explanation on this subject I've ever heard. Great job!!
ОтветитьU just saved me hours of trail and error. Thanks
ОтветитьU just saved me hours of trail and error. Thanks
ОтветитьMe gustan muchos tus videos saludos desde Houston Texas bendiciones
ОтветитьThis makes you three-way system number 98. Feels like 198??
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьHave a three-way switch that's not working and they're not miss wide
ОтветитьThank you very well explained, nice and neat I like it.
