What's the best-looking cheap electric car?? 🤔
ОтветитьReal prices for this cars £8999 from China 🇨🇳
Ответитьthey should improve charging to 150kw and 70-80kw battery.
ОтветитьVery disappointed with the appearance of the new-look MG5 and prices need to be coming down not going up
ОтветитьCheaper still is the (now discontinued) electric Hyundai Ioniq 2020 for ~ £15k. Boot space is good but lacks height. The MG5 is more spacious overall.
ОтветитьWould you go for this or an Aiways U5 Premium? They are priced the same here....
ОтветитьSeen one on the road. Looks conglomerate mess. Not for me but each to their own.
ОтветитьI think it looks great - conventional and boring rather than standing out. But that's a good thing in an EV. Looks ok in the inside too. Wish it was a next gen version though.
ОтветитьAre MG in bed with Nissan by any chance?
ОтветитьWhat all channels keep quiet are that lithium batteries will die in around 10years or fasterdepend on mileage and new ones will costs as half new car but your car would not be new car and of course price of electricity on chargers are pretty close to fuel prices but you don't recharge fast as fuel
ОтветитьLooks better than the previous very boring version but in between the new front and rear it does rather look much the same. Why do they spoil the rear with a stupid strip of plastic stuck under the number plate?
ОтветитьI've got Peugeot 307 sw from 2002, it runs on LPG, nothing cab beat it in terms of cost efficiency :P
ОтветитьLooks better, but as it’s largely the same car I’m wondering if a used pre-facelift is better value.
ОтветитьIs the model in the video Hampstead Grey?
ОтветитьMG is a Chinese brand isn't?
ОтветитьExcellent car
ОтветитьI have the pre-facelift, amazing car. My first EV, didnt know what to expect but i would never look back now!
ОтветитьReliable?
ОтветитьEverybody whinges about the air con/climate control being digital - how often are you nerds changing those settings? 😂
ОтветитьSo police are using new tech to see if you’re touching your phone screen even if mounted while driving, at the same time car manufacturers are allowed to lock climate control settings behind a screen? I share this planet with morons……
ОтветитьPricing still out of reach for Mr or Mrs average. Electric still in niche or privileged territory.
ОтветитьPlease Please Please stop comparing MG electric cars to petrol and desiel cars. Driving an electric car is totally different I know I have one, is there an electric estate car out there other than the Mg to compare the MG5 too. Please get a grip. Like for like electric cars only please
ОтветитьGreat review. Thanks. BTW my base model Excite Long Range has automatic emergency braking.
ОтветитьI started out looking at Hyundai/KIA models, but I simply don't see any way that I can justify those prices, especially when MG offer the 4 and 5 at these prices.
I'd already dismissed the VW iD3 not only because of the continuing problems with the electronics, but because an iD3 specced at a similar level to these alternatives (both Hyundai/KIA and MG) comes out at 48K Euros!
So MG4 or 5? I'm still not sure; 1 offers lower price/smaller size, the other larger, higher price. I suspect that the ultra long range 4 that is due out next year will probably be the one. But in both cases, it is the addition of towing capacity that is the clincher for me.
Apparently one in five cars sold is Electric which i find amazing. For me they need far more development because they are so unpractible. For example if im stuck in traffic on a cold winter's day i want to have the heater on without worrying about running out of fuel. They do serve a purpose in large cities if your not venturing to far from home. I know of at least 3 people who are thoroughly frustrated with their electric car and can't wait to get rid of them.
ОтветитьYes, it is nicer. However, the price increase is significant... I bought my mg5 exclusive for £26k, the trophy is £7.5k more now. Although I'd like v2l and towing capability, and yes, it looks better, given the choice I'd still pay £7.5k less and take my one.
Ответитьلا إله إلا الله محمد رسول الله
ОтветитьLoads of problems with charging… Bjørn Nyland made a great video showing the troubles
ОтветитьBest EV? 😂🤡
ОтветитьStop promoting goods manufactured by Communist Party of China using Uyghur slave labour. There is nothing British in this car other than the brand that CCP is using to fool you.
ОтветитьAs a kid in the 70's and 80's I used to really like the idea of electric cars, all I want these days though is a nice V8 lol
ОтветитьDoesnt the uk get the BYD ATTO3?
ОтветитьThe price gone higher mainly because of the GBP rate down almost 20% against USD for the last 13 months. Otherwise this car should the same price as previous version. I am tempting to get this MG5 or the upcoming BYD atto3 for family car
ОтветитьLooks much better then old one ❤❤❤
ОтветитьAbsolutely disgusting looking.
ОтветитьLoL only thing English about this MG is the MG badge . The rest is China !
ОтветитьGreat review as always. 👍
ОтветитьMG still hasn't bothered to supply a tailgate with the correct screw hole placing for the UK number plate shape..
It's just penny pinching covering up the square type screw hole placing with a black olastic strip below the number plate.
Good review, apart from the stupid wheelspinning thing for which you have to turn off the traction control - but why on earth would you do that? Stupid. So there are no traction issues unless you turn traction control off. Well duh. Come on What Car, you can do better.
ОтветитьGreat shopping, commuter or school run car, other than that?
ОтветитьIt still doesn't change the Look ie it still looks Like a VW estate
ОтветитьMy std range MG5 is 22 months old. 80,600+ miles of fault free driving. What is not to like? It cost me £24,400 ( with gov grant)
ОтветитьMy feeling us single motor variants should be rear wheel drive
ОтветитьThe original was clearly taking insight from vw tiguan, happy to see they are now looking at their own identity.
ОтветитьToo expensive for a vehicle made in China
ОтветитьImproved, like Kia Niro, but - as with that - there wasn’t much wrong with original, for the ‘bargain’ price!
I think I still favour the Kia, but this MG definitely closes the gap, and you’d have to at least consider it if you’re buying in say £30-40k price range.
They got rid of buttons! One step forward two steps back
