I only just ordered this

I'm a new gamer. Is this game fairly easy to learn controller prompts?

As a completely new player coming into this series, I don’t find this review helpful. The reviewer assumes those watching have played the game and missed the mark here.

Is it easy to platinum?

I also think it’s one of the best games ever. People who say they didn’t like it kind of don’t have context when they don’t mention what their top favs are. Opinions are subjective, but to mean something there’s gotta be some overlap. In other words, if their tops are also my favs it means something.

Imho, GOT is just beautiful experience to play. It’s got interesting story and the visuals (on my ps4) are, well, an experience. What do I mean? Well, take Witcher 3, it’s got forests and lakes etc too right? Ok, the image quality is not as good, but even if it was, it’s just “props’ to fill the blanks. GOT nature is not simply higher quality, everything you see is like artwork. In motion. You climb a mountain, it’s not just a high point, it’s an amazing view. It’s made by people who understand art. Witcher 3 is not.

Openworld without an interesting story though, can be a pain, as you quickly grow tired of aimlessly wondering around. Fallout 4 comes to mind. I still liked Fallout and don’t regret buying it at full price, but the side quests can be very un-rewardingly boring. Why not hire real writers to come up with a great story where side quests are subplots that tie in together (even if loosely) with the main plot? Horizon Forbidden west done a lot better job, and I enjoyed the stories it developed.

GOT side quests might get a bit repetitive, but I still did all of them because it’s just fun to play. And the main quests are great and have a strong theme. Overall I’d give it 10/10

Another great game I would recommend is, Mad Max. Excellent visuals and gameplay, the story is a bit too dark, but I still enjoyed the game. Red Dead Redemption 2 was pretty good too. Makes you do silly stuff at times, but very occasionally. Mostly good action and interesting plot. The Last of Us was very good, haven’t played part 2 yet, and most likely will, since I’ve ran out of stuff to play. Part 1 felt kind of short though, but totally worth buying. Days Gone has a similar vibe (with a lot more zombies) also definitely worth playing.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is pretty good, but I often found myself bored between main quests, though graphics are great, it just loses focus too often still recommend it though. Odyssey, on the other hand, I probably wouldn’t recommend because it lacks focus completely. It’s theme seems to be, do whatever you want. But then it becomes like a shoot-em-up (well with a sword). I need a plot. I don’t have to agree with it, but it just blurs the idea of choosing a side, which is a problem for me.

what the fucks up with telling the plot guy.... Why can't you just talk about the core mechanics and Graphics of the game and NOT FKN spoil the story line.???

Thanks for an excellent review. Just convinced me to buy it. I've already completed the base game, enjoyed it immensely and was wondering if to buy Director's Cut for Iki Island and the new charms etc. Only thing I found the price kinda high still at around US$19 and wasn't available at a discount price. Still gonna buy it though, most likely next 5-15 mins.

I'm getting my ps5 sometime this week, and this is one of the first games I'm absolutely buying...I played this in 2019 for ps4 first and I was blown away on my friends system, now I GOTTA HAVE IT!

Just bought the game three days ago it’s the best I’ve ever played I just love the presentation and the atmosphere the game throws at you.

Amazing story, graphics and setting. Game mechanics felt like a mix of Assassins Creed, Batman Arkham Series and Sekiro which is as good as it gets. Story really got me going emotionally toward the end, DLC in particular. Jin is a decent protagonist and can be made to look a variety of ways. Some badass and some not.

Dragged on a bit and felt easy. Due to completing Sekiro several times the parrying was a breeze even on high difficulty.

Would have been 7 but i got this game for free so bonus point because im tight fisted.

I have not played a game with Combat this addictive before or since. The story and characters are no way as insipid as Horizon but no way as memorable as TW3. The environments are staggeringly beautiful - esp on HDR 4K mode. I bawled my eyes out at the end too. And the archery is savage once you get the head shots down!

Definitely one of the best games I have played. But not enough Foxes!! XD

Wait... are you referring to the PS5 controller in this review? How'd you even get a PS5??? Last I checked, that console has yet to be released.
I mean look at the facts: since it came out, it has been out of stock everywhere. Out of stock everywhere, all the time = not released. Rest my case.
Buying a PS5 is no easier or feasible than buying a PS6. At least for the common person who isn't filthy rich. Guess this review is for the 1%. If you own a PS5, you've got to be doing pretty well, even if you just pay the already high MSRP. Having the disposable income to support the income of exorbitant scalpers is quite the luxury. Good thing PS4 plays the same games!
This is the only time I'll ever be grateful for the technological stagnation in console progression that has rendered the next-gen system non-essential. Imagine if the Super Mario 64 had been released for SNES as well as N64 back in the day, lol. Guess they ran out of real world dimensions to blow our minds with. Going 2D to 3D was it. Now the technology is hitting an upper limit because there is no 4D. Each successive console becomes less and less of an improvement. Elden RIng just dropped for PS5 ("release" date 2020) AND PS4 (release date 2013). Seven years apart. They play the same game from 2022. THAT is incredible. Times have f*cking changed.

I'm glad they made this. I love this game, but by the time I got to the third part of the island I was max leveled and didn't have any motivating factors to finish. I think they should have made the game harder and should have made skills take longer to get so that if you try to complete everything, you have rewards to look forward to (levels etc). Lastly, I wish there were some more beautiful looking women. They all looked so plain...

I've never played Ghost of Tsushima, even on the PS4, had a gift cart sitting in my wallet for the last 8 months so I decided to pick this up. Sounds like I have a lot to look forward to. I'm wrapping up The Last of Us 2 right now, I'm on the next to last chapter. Soon as I finish it I'm going to start playing this. This looks like the closest thing to an Assassins Creed game set in a Japanese setting

Hi! I'm currently downloading the directors cut of this game.. bought it on playstation store because me and my son didn't want to wait for it to arrive in the mailbox! I'm downloading the ps5 version but it doesn't say directors cut!?? It just says ghost of tsushima. Is this how it should look like or is anything wrong? I can only download the ps4 bonus content as well..... there is no ps5 version of that one..
