Hey there, I’m new to GoPro. Taking a Hero 9 on a thru hike on the JMT for a couple weeks. I’ll have a couple power banks and possibly an extra battery or two. I plan to limit video time to extend battery life. Any suggestions on setting to maximize my GoPro 9 on a long hike?

This is an amazing video and thank you. My GP 9 Black does not have 4K at 30FPS, 60FPS is the only option. I set the video to 1440 and it came out 4:3 letterbox. The menu just said 1440. And the video looks like 720 Resolution at best. And HEVC format is the only option. so MOV-AVI suite does not support this. I ran the video through Vegas Video and Power director, both came out worse than the original video. Running my Go-Pro Hero 5 at 2.7K comes out beautiful. The 9 has beautiful stabilization and that front screen. But not sure If I'm keeping it :(

I LOVE your instructional videos. As a retired teacher of 30 years, I can tell you that you have a calling for this. I respect very much the care and preparation you put into your presentations. You never assume we have previous knowledge and your step by step instructions are excellent. Your generation has a speed of speaking that I find difficult so I just slow you down to .75 speed and it works out just fine for me. Thanks so much for your work!

Ummmm,,,, how about starting with how you even got the screen where you swipe down in the beginning. This thing won't even let met get to anything, but it keeps starting a video. I keep hitting mode button with nothing happening. Very un-user friendly. And don't get me started with the Quik app on my desktop that won't see the video and download.
