Honeslty a game basic like lego could perform in the open world scenario so well imo. I think everyone is waiting for a game that is like “ready player one” where it’s so customisable and open for everyone, this would be hard to complete with modern technology not be advanced enough but i reckon with lego you would have the customise options and you could provide the open world for everyone. The recent lego sky walker saga game is advanced in which there are wide options that can take place, there is a awesome looking city which is so appealing and i couldn’t wish more for lego to create a game which was online and you could go to worlds where all previous lego games have been Eg Harry Potter, Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean and Marvel
It would be something that would truly bring back Lego games and would change the perception of Online gaming.

I used to see ads of this game as a kid. I wanted to play so bad but never got to.

I worked on the lead design department of the videogame back in 2009-2010. At a very early stage when we were working on how to make the concept art look more "blocky" we already knew we had something special on the works. But we never imagined it would be such a big part of so many kids who are now adults to this day! Very glad you enjoyed the game. After its shutdown many of the devs including myself had to move out and get new jobs unfortunately

what tf went wrong in the world that games like these don't exist anymore? it's been like that for years now. it's very weird to me how there are no studios getting technologically creative using modern development tools to create MMOs with the same charm games in this era used to have.

Imagine if Lego Universe returned and it was a VR MMORPG.
