Should You Buy Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection on Nintendo Switch? (Review)

I don't find the new ac games to be terrible. If it came out under its own title not Assasins Creed I feel like they'd be reviewed way better. It's just the new games didn't follow the original story line. The game play is fun. They look good. Just not as an assasins creed title

I got it and I’m glad I did because playing in handheld is awesome and now I have decided to play through every ac game portably so I got all the switch ac games and for the others I will have to deal with cloud on my phone but I’m not there yet so I’ll play on switch for now

If you really want to know why these games fell off--it's simple. They were actually putting some REAL shit in their games. Real truths about how the world system works. The hidden power structures. Where the sources of power and influence really come from, and people were actually waking up to the "powers that be" because of these games. So, they were "forced" to start watering and dumbing the content down and turned it into just another brain-dead button masher that lacked the real, good, juicy stuff. That's what really happened.

yeah i got the switch port like 2 weeks ago and i'll say this. i do not recommend getting it over consoles. ac2 crashes a lot. brotherhoods fps and resolution goes down to pixel world sometimes and revelations is like the other 2 combined just more toned down. and not only that some of the uplay content doesn't work and outfits u unlock will relock em for reasons unknown and there's no way to stop it. more so cuz when i looked up about it for switch ubi already knew about the issues with content on switch they just wont fix it :/ if u don't care about the issues or missed content and just wanna take it out with u and just experience it again. or it's the only thing u can get it on. sure go ahead. because i admit it is alright besides the other stuff. and it also has 2 movies as well. so while ur out u can just watch something at least. tho if u press any button it'll go back to the game selection and it doesn't put u back to where u were nor is there a fast forward, rewind or pause button which is a bit annoying but as long as u don't touch anything u should be good. and turning off the switch anyway keeps the game paused so u can pause it that way at least. it's good to just take it out with u. relax and play it in ur hands and even if the other stuff is a little annoying it's not too bad. but as a first playthrough or a definitive version, the console or pc versions are way better then the switch port by far. i'm playing through revelations now and after i might replay it on ps4 after i'm done with the other games cuz i haven't played them even tho i got some years ago LOL

I had surgery well a day surgery and I'm getting ready for surgery 56 and so I got this collection and I like being able to take the games with me to the hospital and on the go

I have a ps5 and have played AC 2 a long time ago, I did take into consideration the fps problem but I did but it for the portability since I'm going away for a while. Amd for future trips where I can escape for a little while.

Switch is worth it for road trips and chillin without console. Fantastic for handheld.

Honestly I got this last night on the switchs eshop it was on sale for 20 bucks imvery impressed tbh it makes me very happy to play it on the switch lite I find it funny ubisoft can get these games to run smooth and awesome on switch but companys like capcom and sqaure enix do cloud trash it shows the switch can run good games it just depends how much effort and time go into it shows ubisoft actually cares tbh lol

I was going to buy this for traveling but I do own them on PS4 and PC and just don't see myself playing long hours in the handheld mode. Even on a plane I play short bursts. This review finally made me say no and I am thankful for the video.

AC1 definitely deserves a remake. It is the only game that is stuck on PS3

As much as I want to replay Revelations, I'm holding off on getting the collection on any other console so that I can use it as justification for getting the Switch whenever BoTW2 ever decides to come out

I’m playing AC1 right now.. Irs quite clunky albeit still very charming.. This is definitely the one that needs a remake.. I also noticed there was an oft overlooked sequel to it on PSP so why not also throw that one in iif possible on the next Switch collection!

My wife likes playing on the Switch. So got her AC 3. She really likes it.

So when the Ezio collection came out, got her that. She is happy with it. And I am too because we share something.

For myself it would not be worth it, because play(ed) the games on pc.

Edit:so this is my thoughts cuz I played it.

So first off handheld is hard to control. Especially in missions where you need parkour. Ezio just runs off to the edge. Second the graphics its mid.

It's literally like $3 per game on PC and basically any PC nowadays can run it. The way I see it, just get it on PC.

Odyssey and Valhalla, and who loved those trash games , it's seems that he likes empty and boring worlds , big empty map , trash missions , trash connections and details of the world , broken rpg

I bought it on the switch after originally playing on Xbox 360, those had been my way of replaying them, and I have loved it

They are still great games. But Ubi Soft did one of the largest cheap out jobs for AC Games on the Switch. Sure, DLC missing off of the Cart for AC3 was bad, Rogue not on the Rebel Collection was also bad enough. But The Ezio Collection only having AC2 on the cart before forcing you to download all the rest takes the cheapout jobs to a new level of suck. If you are gonna release this game on physical, pull all the stops and never look back. Don't half job it and call it a day. I was about to fetch this collection, but choose not too upon checking up on the eshop if all of it were on the cart or not. After checking out what is listed upon the eshop and the space requirements that go with it, I choose not to pick up the Switch Version.

I love my Switch version. I haven't played these games in a while as my PS3 died, and I never got the 4 or 5. Replaying Ezio's and Desmonds' stories is awesome.

The console versions are also locked at 30fps

Funny enough I picked it up the day you uploaded this video and I’ve been having a blast. Feels smoother then the PS3 versions most of the time.

The new ac games are not that bad. Especially origins and valhalla

Maybe it just me giving the switch a lot of enthusiasm or something. But I just think that it could run the game on 60 fps even on handheld with how old this game is.

When I heard it was coming out on switch, I decided to buy it, but I realized I don't want 30fps now that I have recently built a beefy gaming PC, so I bought it for much cheaper on PC, and it looks and runs much better. These games are truly amazing, and in my opinion, everyone who like gameplay driven single player games with a great story should try them out.
