I remember finding this dagger on my first playthrough and testing all the damages I can do with what little I knew, I remember hitting like 2.5k one time thinking that it was insane damage yet I'm here watching you crit a dragon for almost 5k to 6k damage, video helps out a lot, wonder how it'll work in pvp🤔

One thing I wish this video covered more was occult infusions on an arcane build. Does this Dagger out perform every weapon in the game on crits when it's maxed out with an occult infusion and a high arcane stat? That's the question I was hoping would be answered, because if it barely does anything, I don't wanna use it and should just stick to my heavy thrusting swords.

I've been using a parry buckler and greatsword and critting for about 7 damage.

By far my favorite build I've ever played in this game. Redmanes was so good but I am glad it got nerfed. RIP

so dex/lightning seems to be way to go in pvp

for pvp i run quickstep for quick backstabs around 1400 damage with dagger talisman on a str/int build magic infused

if Faith+Flame Art is dealing 5000 and the others 3000 why bother with anything else

Fire affinity scales off strength not faith, that's why the damage was so low in your test. Flame scales off faith. Fire affinity on a str build is actually the best.

"Update" Glintstone Pebble (Skill/Ashe of war) doesn't have the "mega" stun anymore, it's sux now (double range, but x3 staggerless)

Been using this dagger since launch. First time I found it I knew the crit would make it a must. I run mine with heavy/flame of redemanes also use flame grant me strength for extra dmg. It’s a beast. May try the magic version you show haven’t tried that so that’ll be nice to try out.

It's funny I was always just using this weapon for its dodged, if you put on Armor that's extremely heavy, the Dodge works the same regardless, nice to know it's actually good

Wow this was huge for me lol I had been using this weapon with reduvia in my off hand for quite awhile and would use flame of the redmanes because I thought flame art plus flame grant me strength was a perfect combination when I need to cause a reposte. However I have put all my points into dexterity because small weapons move fast and it made sense unlike 99% of anything from software does with their games. Now I’m learning that even the ash of war and the affinities on them scale with stats. Never bothered to change this before because again it makes sense to put flame art in my case because it’s a fire damage ash of war and and to learn flame arts you’d think you’d need intelligence so my character is literally low vigor, max running and dodging and high intelligence and dexterity which I would think means speed with one handed weapons. Idk a lot of what you’re saying is just quite arbitrary. Why on earth would I put points into strength when the weapon has almost no equipment load 🤷‍♂️ Miyazaki is plainly put a ridiculous human being 🤦🏼

Question: If Flame of Redmanes scales best with strength, Glintblade Pebble/Phalanx scales best with Intelligence, what are some good picks if I wanna stagger with either Faith, Dexterity, or Arcane?

My current build is faith caster, while using crits as way of perserving mana, while progressing through add heavy areas, with the flame art, flame of redmanes, misericorde. My current problem is that I'm still in early game, and faith caster isn't the best starting out. I've been having to fully rely on crits, or dragon incantations, to get through the game. And now I find out I ham strung my misericorde damage by not going strength with regular flame affinity? QQ.

Everything in this video was very nice... Until the point at the end you started talking about bleed. Daggers apply bleed faster than any other weapon type by a huge margin.

At lvl 230 with the misericorde+25 buffed to hell lol I hit 43k

Awesome vid! I use a sacred one with the ash of war to buff dmg on it and that almost doubles the crit dmg at +13 its doing 3000 dmg

If you really want to max out your crit damage you Can use royale knight résolve

Use a quality great sword with val. lighting incantation. Flame strength, golden vow, flask of wf. 1555 AR with lion claw it's crazy. Plus some good talismans

You lost me... Flame of the Redmain - If you're doing a faith build, how much str should you shoot for? Say at lvl 50,100,150 - vs Faith at those levels. And which whetstone should I use?
