Commanders should trade for Fields and draft Harrison junior , if Justin has trouble ol’ Sammy Howell still is a good prospect just needs an offensive line bulked up.

No way the Steelers give up the 20th pick for Fields. I've heard the potential of the Steelers trading Diontae Johnson and a 4th round pick for Fields though.

Watch the "every throw" or "every pass" highlights for Justin Fields against Denver, Detroit, Green Bay, Washington and Arizona. He area played through not having a WR2 or WR3 that can catch passes at intregal stages of the game. Mooney, Scott and Jones have not been reliable.

Fields' ability to make plays running and passing is clear. The Bears would be wise to keep Justin Fields and trade down to get as many supportive pieces as possible to help him win games.

Folks i can guarantee Poles will not take a wr at #2 . It just won't happen he is smarter then that. If he trades back to 2 its either for May or he trades back again drafts Rome or Nabers in top 10

I need to know what the value of the #1 overall is because I think JFs can be QB1 (given his over 120 passer rating when targeting DJ or Cole) and some help from the Bears which they have failed to give him--other than Moore--in 3 years. That would be another wide, an OT, a C, and a back-up TE and they can do that given their Cap space and what they bring in for Caleb (#1 supposedly).

Of course when we drafted them I was thrilled, so there’s no reason for me to go backwards, and start all over again? Why? I think if they wanted to go away from him they would’ve done it last year, but they are building a roster, and I believe they’re going to draft Either the best defensive player or receiver… It just makes more sense… You start over again, you got a new coach? You get another quarterback? And start again? I don’t know, it just doesn’t make sense… Whether or not you support Justin Field it just doesn’t make sense to me. I don’t think Caleb Bloom is going to be so much better than it just can’t refuse… Just Field has the abilities, it’s pretty obvious he’s got the talent, and the size/strength speed… And if you want to build this roster you keep following the same pattern instead of starting over again.I hope they continue with Justin, I believe he has the abilities and the right make up/character/talent to be a great quarterback for the Bears, the first grade quarterback in the history of the franchise.

@freeflyer6170
@freeflyer6170 - 09.02.2024 23:24

I think the primary reason Poles would trade Justin is because of the cap hit next year. I’m a huge Justin fan and would hate to see him go, but I do understand the economic issues. The Bears are probably a year away from being a title contender; so Poles will probably continue to build the team, …..but might need to trade Justin in the now, bring in a rookie, give that rookie a year to get grounded in the NFL, and then hope to content in 2025. Doesn’t make sense to keep Justin for just the next year to see if he’s the man . I think the Bears already know that answer, I don’t think we fans and pundits have any idea.
This is an issue of economics and what cost are going to be going forward in years two, three and four. Justin’s price tag may be prohibited and limit what Poles can do in subsequent years.

Everybody needs to settle down. All these trade down rumors do have some reasonable thoughts behind them. But as GM Poles has stated, he's in no hurry. He's willing to wait & see what trade offers come down the pike. There are 7 to 8 teams that are looking for the next big-time savior of a QB. He'll field all offers... come back with a few counter offers... listen to more offers... and finally, settle on the one that trips his trigger. In business circles, it's called "The Art Of The Deal."

If Washington wants Caleb Williams so much they can trade with the Bears for the no 1 pick and give the Bears their no.1 pick in 2024 , 25 , 26 .
Justin Fields is worth more than a second round pick that's why the Bears are going to keep him.

I'm definitely not doing it because if he's worth a first or even a second round pick, then that means that we have a quarterback. To me, if you take Caleb, you are pretty much putting all of your eggs in one basket. If you get a haul, you can continue to build a dynasty through the draft for years to come. As far as resetting the quarterback clock to save money, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. That money can be made up if you draft right because you wouldn't have to go get as many free agents.

Hey Brad...
not a very good mock draft.

Nope, don't trade away Justin Fields instead, build around him with a much improved O-line that has effected him about 50% of his playing time with the Bears the last 3 years.

GM Ryan Poles should trade away instead, the No. #1 overall pick to either WASH or NE then,
with the No. 2 or 3 pick, select Ohio State WR MHJ. The Bears #9 pick, select C Jackson Powers-Johnson from Oregon.

I like Justin but if the Bears keep him i really hope that he makes big improvements on reading the defense. Not taking sacks and turning the ball over in crucial times he could be really good. The Bears also need to get a lot of pieces on offense.

If Justin Fields is traded it will not be for a first round pick and I could explain the reasons but it's a waste of my time. If they get a conditional pick it will be in 2025 and that's the only way a conditional pick could work.

1st off didn't Fields get picked with the 11th pick in the draft? This is my first hesitation in the trade capital he could net. Understand you've got 6 QB's that are probably coming off the board in the first 50. So to think they could get anything before pick #50

keep talking Fields down! Trade him, you won't beat G.B. Get him some Protection, and receivers. Trouble reading defense?, get him a line to give him some time! You put him right into NFL. Give him NFL protection! I would have been happy if G.B. would have traded Rodgers for him. You don't know what you have! Get behind him and get him some help! Make our division the best. this from a G.B. fan.
