I went through other tutorials out there, some got the job done but all you got out of it was a connection. Long, drawn out hard to understand (not comprehend...but to be able to understand half the people talking). This, my friend, was simply the best hands down. no shutdown doesn't work in any sub interface so there is no need to write no shutdown when you're in the subif, only no shutdown the interface itself

I have a Cisco 2900 that I'm running internet to via G0/0 that connects to my LAN, and that port gets an IP address and can be pinged just fine. What I need to do is figure out how to get the routing to work to Fa0/3/0-7.

you made some mistakes, seems that you're not realty know where do you are when you see the prompts: >- user mode, # - means you're on the privileged mode, (config)# - global configuration mode. you're not exit from the privileged mode, you're exit from Global configuration mode.., same for when you're enter on the global config mode...

Great video but? I cannot see other vlans as it should be but on your video you're able to? Since port 0/48 is trunked I cannot assign an ip address so I can only access the internet and nothin else. Since I cannot assign ip's to respective vlan's on switch because of trunking (no switchport would make it a layer 3 switch disabling trunking on layer 2) so how do I resolve that issue?
