when the drama about tati and james charles came out what i thought at the time was this is a woman in her 30s going after a much younger flamboyantly gay young man what common ground did she find with him and when things didnt work out why was she putting all the responsibility on james charles

I know this is a video from 3 years ago, but I would like to add this:
Even if the whole cat thing was "just" an idea for a sketch, or "just" a joke, it is still really disturbing that his mind would ever even go there. It shows that, even if that didn't actually happen, Shane is still capable of thinking about animals in that way and actually verbalizing those disgusting things.

If you asked me right now to imagine an awful disgusting scenario with an animal, and to describe it, I wouldn't be able to do that. My brain would not let me do that, because it just doesn't go to places like that, because I am not deeply disturbed and deranged like Shane is.

And honestly the same goes for everything else that Shane did. Even if everything was an act for shock comedy, it is VERY telling that his mind could have ever gone there.

The problem is...... If you want your image to be all about edgy humour then you have to expect the backlash that comes with it and you have to own it, not cry and whine about how you never intended to offend people with those jokes and promise that you'll do better. If you got to make that many apologies then you ought to get the hint that your content is no longer viable. times are constantly changing and if you want your channel to survive you need to adjust to changing times and adjust your content. Look on anyone's channel who is 1 million subscribers and up and if you go to their first video you will see it's drastically different from whatever their new stuff is, whether it is commentary, reactions, or any variation of a daily vlog or news content you can see they have adjusted and changed their content with the times. It seems that Shane has never grown out of his immature humor and only added to it with predatory tones
