Am meisten überschätzter Dirigent der letzten 30 Jahre.
Ein schwätzerischer Selbstdarsteller und Tyrann.

Der Mann hat einen Plan! Unglaublich tolle Arbeit, ich bin begeistert!

So well explained. As a choir conductor I love how he explained the human factor in music. When all is said and done, in the end that factor is the determining one, nothing else. And, finally a conductor with a very nice singing voice.

Потрясающая работа.

Excuse me, but he would better show them all the pictures and photos of victims of nazist's crime at Baby Jar. Sure, noone would laugh after that about the words "krutoi obryv da gruboe nadgrobie". It is not just music but a tragedy coming through the human mind.

Ausländische Dirigenten können gerne in englischer Sprache proben. Aber Currentzis ist jetzt seit vielen Jahren Chefdirigent beim SWR. Inzwischen sollte er gut genug Deutsch sprechen, damit auch Kinder und Erwachsene ihn verstehen können, die (noch) keinen Englisch-Unterricht hatten.

I did think B.Haitink's recording with Concertbouw Orchestra the best;after hearing this Currentzis rehearsal now i think he's more vertical than Haitink.Currentzis is one of the best conductor nowadays

What majesty this conductor has! He explains the horror that Shostakovitch portrayed and demands that the musicians step out of their comfort zone and face the terror and scare. Without taboo. Shocking. Thank you Mr. Currentzis for this great and true rehearsal. I hope this intense music brings a little comfort to the victims of this world.

Was für eine einzigartige Probenarbeit, mit Lebensintensität getränkt! Welch ein Gestaltungswille, welch eine innere Präsenz! Lieber Teodor Currentzis, liebes Orchester; habt Dank dafür, dass ihr eine musikalische Kunst erschaffen wollt, die nicht nur auf Schönklang basiert, sondern den Hörer erschüttern kann. Sehr schade, dass es das letzte Lab war!

What an amazing Lab. Currentzis really made the piece more alive in our minds, ears and hearts through his commentary to both the audience and the orchestra.
