May heaven spare society from misled psychiatrists who believe like this one. Being "understanding and kind" to evil does not change evil.

Stupid, stupid Doctor. Kids are beyond smart. He could have stopped this game at any moment. Acting like he’s helpless. That kid needed to know someone else was in charge. Someone who could see ten steps ahead of her. Keep emotions out of it. This was a huge mistake.

This makes me wonder if I ever met a psychopath in my life. Especially in elementary. I could have spent 8 years with some kid who is now a monster.

I don’t understand the logic of using a reward system to treat psychopathy.

The person will probably just figure out that certain wanted behaviors trigger rewards, but instead of internalizing that, they’ll just fake what the Doctors want to see.

underestimateting psychopath is the most commen mistakes doctors do, you have, you always have to understand that a Psychopath, has a very high IQ, and they understand you better then you do, if you want to treat them, you have to think like them no mercy, no feeling

I knew the second he said "a big apology equals a big reward," it would translate to doing mean things equals opportunities to apologize & then get rewards.

Is this little girl being abused? That’s one thing I wonder. Why is she acting like this? Parents are very good at hiding their behaviors and little kids act out.

There shouldn’t be an award for apologies. There should be an award for not doing anything wrong after a long time.

She's 11, she can't be diagnosed with psychopathy, that's not done until after the age of 18. She'd be diagnosed with conduct disorder and treated for that as well as attempting to treat her to avoid a full development of a personality disorder. It could develop onto PD, but it would never be diagnosed on a child. That's unethical

The moral being that callous unemotional people are unredeemable, especially when a callous charismatic person tells you so.

Unless one is living in shock and the other one has better copping mechanisms. Manipulation being more of a red flag in my mind, I always thought that people who try to shame someone for being unemotional are simply being predatory.

So that's a sad portrait. But somewhere in these comments I bet someone is trying to define mental oddities as undesirable people worthy of bad treatment. Like a snake eating it's babies.

My assesment tells me I am INTP female and a psychopath. I don't want to harm or kill anyone. Sure there's people that I wish were unalive but it never cross my mind that I want to harm people. I think even if you're not a psychopath there will be people that you dislike or people that you wish didn't exist. I just lack sympathy and empathy. I don't feel bad for people's misfortune no matter how bad it is at the same time I don't need or want people's attention either. I don't seek out attention or help. When I have difficulties in my life I just tank it through. I never want sympathy from anyone and I don't want attention. When bad things happen to people I just think tough luck it can happen to anybody. Currently wars and terrorism happening, many innocents are harmed by this. Sure I wish it didn't have to happen. I don't enjoy seeing these terrible things unfold it doesn't bring me joy to see people suffer but at the same time I just feel indifferent. Like so be it such is life bad things happens everyday it could be anybody any country. Heck maybe I go to bed tonight and wake up in a ball of flame. Again I had my fair share of abandonment and abuse from my parents. It's terrible experience but I don't even feel bad for myself. I just always think of well.

I think the way I am is so beyond strange to other people. There's good and bad I guess, at least I don't get triggered by anything I just simply don't care. One major good thing is others opinions matters 0 to me so I can't ever be harmed by words.

This girl however is something else she actually enjoys harming others it seems. Again just because you don't feel bad for people or sorry doesn't mean you want to harm them. So yeah. I don't think psychopath is a problem at all. I think psychopath does better in careers such as doctors / law actually. There's a lot of occupation in this world that calls for a psychopath.

I knew right away that's what she was gonna do when he implemented that and it's a really bad strategy. It teaches her, a psychopath, to do the bad thing and then say a false apology to get a reward. Rinse repeat. Fact is, there is zero cure for psychopathy. It's how their brain was created and wired. That doctor is putting everyone at risk by having empathy on someone who wouldn't think twice of killing him.

And that's what happens when you use poor logic with a psychopath; you must be just as logical as they are - let them know about delayed gratification and long-term rewards. In the long run, it will help to be good to others and it will make your life easier and lead you towards what you really want.
