ASMR Testing Old vs New Audio Recorder (Zoom H6 vs F3)

Which would be best to record a professional DJ set from a mixer? The H6 or F3?

Zoom h6 is a big disappointment. Can't plug it in to power with out hug hiss noise. It is unusable. Wish I would have gotten the f3.

Its so strange that you cant hear the tuning fork without connection with bluetooth device or earphones

H6 left side as the best for me, speaking and items.
Don’t know why the H6 right side sounded so different though.

It’s very rare that I get tingles, but you turning the gain on and off was CRAZY tingly

32 bit float gives you a huge amount of headroom which is why gain isn’t really necessary during recording. 0db is not the highest you can go like with normal integer formats

as someone who is going to school for audio technology i’d love to hear more audio interface recorders and mic ramblings

I love my h6 (composer here) I capture lots of interesting sounds for my sp404mk2 and all sorts of stuff

I'm really excited to see how the f3 performs

If only we could have the F3's noise cancellation without it's bass rolloff. To my ears, the H6's bass sounded more full but it also had more background noise.

its the H6 for me due to the lack of bass in the F3 comparatively, but both are great! I hope you at least use the H6 occasionally moving forward

I finally found the asmr producer that gives me tinkels!!!

Honestly that doesn't sound like a big difference to me. F3 is a tiny bit better at automatically filtering out white noise (its just cuts off sooner than on H6) but it comes at the cost of dull-ish, muddier sound.

I love how you wanted to film a test but were able to turn it into content - the best of both worlds!
