The Handle Moves but the Window Won't Open (1 minute Quick Overview)

Hi there very helpful video. I have tried it with considerable force but the latch just won’t come up. Any further advice?

I hook it onto the bolt and put all my force but no luck!

i tried this but couldnt do it, i dont seem to have enough space to get a small tool in between the frame and the metal part to pull the round part up, i can get it up and into position higher up but theres no space where i need it, typical :(

It worked for me , thanks , it was difficult to find the L key that long , but i managed to find somehow! many thanks for posting it , now i want to know how could i fix the handle ,so it can open and close properly!

usually the lock breaks because of corrosion build up, if the lock was truly broken you would see the shoot bolt fall back down again once it was open, but this was not a broken window lock and the person simply used the handle of working lock on the window to open the window. whilst this could possibly be done it is best to remove the glass to allow the frame to move slightly. i have been doing this for 16 years and is the only effective way
