Overwhelmed? BDO Starter Guide for Beginners

I'm not getting a choice where to start. It just dumps me into "Land of the Morning Light" (the one you don't recommend for new players like myself)

I always wanted to try a mmo game and thankfully PSplus had this game free and i wanted to try it, and let me tell you... for a first time playing this kind of game, i got so overwhelmed and i just closed the game and went to find some guides to help me because there was so much on the screen and the UI is a bit distracting, idk if it’s only an issue on Console but i'll give it time and learn the basics with guides and thank you for helping because this can be overwhelming and tbh it is overwhelming and distracting that they put everything on screen and quests everywhere 😂

I rememeber this game was a P2W mess... how is it now?

On playstation it came out today as one of the free monthly games.
So my question is do i have to pay monthly fee or is it free to play?

Really getting into BDO, love how much stuff you actually have to do in it as well, the life skills are honestly one of my favourite things, means you’re not just stuck on a forever ending loop of questing. This video really helped me actually, I had NO idea about the storage and how to get my seasonal gear, bless you 😂

Left Diablo 4 to play BDO and so far I absolutely love BDO. My brother is running me through things and all around it’s just been awesome so far. He’s been trying for years to get me to play.

Playing BDO for the very first time, started 3 days ago. What I can tell after this short time: Yes, it is overwhelming, but I am so impressed HOW MUCH content this game has to offer. Like WTF...It is incredible. I played Lost Ark, Diablo, New World, Silkroad, Aion and more, but this game is really on another level, when it comes to depths AND gameplay/fights. I was sleeping on BDO the whole time, but now I am glad I found it. You should start this game with an inner balance and patience, with curiosity, passion for exploring an open world and the will to learn the mechanics and depth of a new game. It's so worth it...Thanks for the Guide!

I just started my season character and I didn't like it already, how far do I have to play or what level should I get until I get the timepiece so I can transfer season character?

I started yesterday, i got a horse and went for some mob killing i parked my horce and after some time its gone. Idk how to summon it back. There is no item no skill or any way to know where my horse gone.

So are seasonal characters like diablo seasonal characters? Sounds like the exact same system.

Lahn any good still? looked up a few teir list before i download the game again want to see if my old class is still decent has not been on any of the teirlists at all

soooo..I get Naru gear, but what about loot found with better stats? do I wear that or keep wearing Naru stuff though it is "worse" at the time?

1st problem and question. I am new player and i made a mistake i started at Land of The Morning light and i have a question can i delete my character and create another one season and start at ancient stone?
2nd i got a nice costumes for free for my Drakania can i actually give them to my 2nd character through storage?
Nevermind i cant theyre bound to character unlucky :((

Yeah i have 3 lvl 58+ and i still dont know what to do. Doing a seasonal which taught me more about enhancements and workers but for the most part this gane is filled with things that are not explained.

I tried ship exploration but fighting with the 1st cannon is horrible

Ok I’m picking this game up because it just looked cool etc, but I have never played an mmo, I don’t play PC, I don’t use discord blah blah. I genuinely wish these games didn’t feel gate kept by essentially feeling like if you haven’t played mmo’s before it’s literally just nonsensical. I’m watching these tips and tricks videos and it’s not that they aren’t helpful it just feels absolutely overwhelming. I don’t plan on joining a guild because I’m very much just a solo gamer but it almost feels like I need too and I don’t like that. Idk, maybe I’m just being too harsh or jaded because I don’t play mmo’s but it seems like any game that isn’t an mmo doesn’t feel this hard to just jump in and play.

when should I stop in the main quest? I got to valencia finished part 1, don't want to do more valencia its such a pain to navigate the desert region

Hello! Beginner here.
I created a character on a Season server leveled it up to 15 but decided to delete it to change class. Apparently only one character is allowed in a season server. So now I'm playing on a non-season server and I'm wondering what are the things I'm gonna miss out.

BDO hurts my brain - way too much going on - so much to explain in a beginners guide and so much I won't go into that in too much detail. Nothing wrong with the guide I think it says more about the game. Will push on with it, but it's a bit much - maybe the introduction to the new player in game could be toned down introducing new elements as you progress

Can I play my seasonal character on normal servers after the season ends?

I am on PS5 I never seen the option to start in ancient stone chamber. How do I do that. It keeps forcing me to land of the morning light and not letting me pick

all the dozens of menues drowned me. Flashing things all over the screen. Every item in the bag had 25 lines of text and even after reading all that text I usually didn't understand what the item was used for. This game made me appreciate WoW classic again..
