I went to private Catholic and my kids went to public. Some of my grandkids go to Charter schools which are private but public run. I wish they had those back in the days.

Well I'm going to try a new sugar free carrot muffin recipe that i found. In this recipe you take your carrots, cook them and then puree them before adding them to the batter. Apparently doing this helps to bring out their sweetness. The recipe still does contain flour, so I'm wondering perhaps I should subsitute for wholemeal flour. Anyway I'm going to try it next week because apparently doing 20 minutes on the exercise bike only burns 300 calories and one regular muffin is 300 calories, and since I have these muffins every day at work its high time I change that recipe. I am doing 20 minutes on the cyling machine then another 20 minutes on some sort of steppign thing then 10 minutes on the treadmill every day and have only lost 5 kilograms.

The best way to save for something is ...................whatever method you will stick with and follow. And the method you use is probably what is best for most people. Unfortunately most people don't have any plan for using their tax returns wisely.

I totally understand why you do what you do, i'd do that too ... my kids went to a non private school, but the schools they attended were amazing and they both have done so well, Andrew is a deputy headmaster now and Heather is an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer :-)

Or, you could have frugal daddy get a job to pay for YOUR children's education and give American tax payers a break. After all, who do you think pays for financial aide?

Even 8K is more than we can afford. That’s why I homeschool. So it doesn’t cost us anything, except my time. The charter school we go try, pays for all the books and supplies.

I am a pharmacist and I would work on Saturdays as a relief to others. The money that I made from just those 4 days a month paid for my daughter's school. Where we live now the public school is very very small so essentially she is still going to private school. (Total students from kinder-12 is 289)

Sounds very smart to me..especially with 2 kids that allow for the child credit..it is for them, right? Many parents just blow the money they receive back from taxes and you actually use it to pay for their education, I get it.
