Florida is a sexy state but how do they recover from these catastrophic hurricanes? What do people do if their house gets destroyed?

Love vacationing in fort myers specifically Sanibel. Even almost a year after they haven’t recovered. Very lucky the most recent hurricane made landfall closer to the panhandle

As a Fort Myers resident I can say this was gnarly. It destroyed my husbands work and countless friend's homes. FEMA was no help and denied us help. It's crazy how the world cared for about a week and then it was no longer 'new' people lost interest. It gave me a new perspective and empathy for other natural disaster victims.

once on Florida, I have a uncle named rocky but last year, hurricane Ian have came to Florida! I’m very miserable 😭 that my uncle survived. my grandma came to Florida to put the stuff back. my dad told me about the hurricane.
