AMAZING!
ОтветитьBloody hell thank you for this video. I drew an artwork for a client who wanted to print it out, and the colours I used were utterly washed out after they requested that I convert to CMYK for commercial printing. My illustration was a summer themed one, the conversion changed it to a Depression-era piece. You're a lifesaver!!
ОтветитьWent through the whole video to then be told: "we're just not going to get these colours"
Ответитьfuck off dogi
ОтветитьThank you for the tutorial - However, I will keep my image in RGB but my home printer is CMYK and the result is very different to the RGB Photoshop image
ОтветитьGod Fuck you lose track of what you're doing.
The FUCKING TITLE is converting rgb to cmyk, Why do you have to show us EVERY other fucking thing too?
I have to convert a coffee table book with about 1000 of RGB images for a big client... Is there a simpler way? Or a short cut? I read maybe not every image needs the conversion
ОтветитьThanks for the tutorial, your amazing 🙏
ОтветитьI I could literally kiss you! You saved me weeks worth of work. Such a good tutorial. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
ОтветитьCopy merged not working. Why??

Ответитьwhy do Americans say "this guy" when they're not talking about a guy!
Ответитьeasier tip on how to convert a ready-to-print work from RGB to CMYK: start in CMYK mode to begin with --- NEVER in RGB
ОтветитьDick technique tutorial
ОтветитьNot perfect but it definitely saved one of my works. It is hard that some projects need to be on the computer and some need to be printed too. It is also hard to predict it is successful or not when you are just learning. Though it is best to start projects in CMYK
ОтветитьOMG... what a ridiculous process.
ОтветитьThank you so much
Ответитьwoo that did not work
Though it is good to know people. Always start off with CMYK first! Basic. Though it is frustrating that PSD does not have an option but this is better than the other version even if my greens are not correct. Good thing it is about the art and not the color for me this time.
Wow! Awesome video! However did someone work all that out? Thanks a lot - subbed and liked. :)
Ответитьfucking guy is slow af
ОтветитьYay! Deke! The excellent but humorous Photoshop Prints of Peace!!! Or are you really dragging us toward the prince of madness? Which is it?
ОтветитьYou are absolutely fabulous. This did not help me because I am trying to produce a neon green but I learned so very much about color and everything you went over it was absolutely priceless. Thank you so very much.
ОтветитьWhy isnt there just a tool for converting and keeping the same colours?
ОтветитьHi, I have a problem with converting from RGB to CMYK. I really hope for your help, because I find nothing on the internet.
When I convert an image from RGB to CMYK, I realize that the colors are changing. But if I save the CMYK image once as JPG and once as PDS and open the images, the images have different colors, although in both cases it is the same CMYK image. How do I know which colors await me after printing?
RGB color is color created with light, while CMYK is color created with ink. Everything you see using a monitor or screen display is RGB! The only reason photoshop or any other program allows you to convert a file or image into CMYK is to allow you to retouch the colors to match a printed sample color sheet that all professional commercial printers give you to prepare your color values accordingly for print.
The only way you have to see CMYK colors is using a PRINTED REFERENCE from the same commercial printer that will print your file.
Like the pantone catalog!
You will never ever see CMYK colors display correctly in any monitor that proyects light (not ink!) colors!!!! Monitors use RGB to recreate color. So even when converting a file into CMYK you are still seeing it in RGB using your monitor or screen!
Use printed reference to match colors. Always. Also take into consideration type of paper or surface to be printed on and type of printer to be used. Trust me is the only way. The professional way!
Simply Wasted my time.... Don't You Have any other work
ОтветитьHvala
Ответитьthank you!
Ответить* Yup didn't work* Pointless, I did everything THIS video said and didn't get a black mode" to convert/ copy to. Just a white screen. -__-
ОтветитьPlease can we have a link to this next free video ? Thx
ОтветитьI came back to this video to make a warning to all future viewers: This video greatly exaggerates the difference between RGB and CYMK. Yes, CYMK will reduce the contrast and saturation and provide a more pastel colour palette, BUT this effect will only be noticeable on images like the one used in the video, which has VERY bright block colours. Your every day photographs of friends, pets, nature, holidays etc. will be barely distinguishable from the RGB original, unless the photo is high-contrast and oversaturated. Basically ask yourself this: "Are your images as bright and colourful as the one used in this video?" If the answer is no, you have nothing to worry about. I have just transformed dozens of photos of sunny vineyards, grape vines, winemakers, wine caskets, bottles, glasses etc from RGB to CYMK and the difference is laughably minimal. Don't let this video scare you from CYMK.
Ответитьso much help..... wanna know how to find number of colors on a pic?
ОтветитьWTH am I missing here?!?!?!? He started out by saying "that retains the original luminance data" but he clearly shows 2 images that look VASTLY different! How is that retaining anything?? huh?!?
ОтветитьIn the beginning I thought why turn RGB img to CMYK, if he printed RGB just fine, at the end of the video, I thought so I watched 12min and I still had to pay to find out the prints he showed in the very beginning. I have nothing against selling knowledge, but don't keep it till the end lol Should have read comment first.
ОтветитьThank you, this helped even with me using cc in 2018
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьFuck you Yank.
Ответитьwhy is the video 12m long?
ОтветитьHow to convert RGB to CMYK in photoshop without changing colors ?
Ответитьthis really opens your eyes up to a lot of working possibilities, isolating out the channels like this for accuracy is quite a feat that i didn't know photoshop could do in a controlled manner - thanks!
Ответитьthank you
ОтветитьThis tutorial is horse shit. RGB blue is a completely different colour to CMYK blue, so how on earth would one want to do a 1 to 1 conversion?
ОтветитьHi, thanks for this tutorial. Just a question - is it necessary to convert from RGB to CMYK for files destined to be printed on home printers?
Ответитьwaist of time...
