Bonus tip: It won't pair in airplane mode... If you're in Windows 10 on desktop PC and have an Airplane icon where your ethernet icon used to be but no button to turn it off in settings, then: Sign off to login in screen. Click on Airplane icon on login screen and you should now have the option to turn airplane mode on/off. Many hours were lost bringing you this information, use it responsibly.

Pretty amazed that my Microsoft Bluetooth receiver, my Microsoft Windows 10 machine, and my Microsoft XBox One X controller don't work together. I wish there were something I could vote for that would make it so programmers made below minimum wage.

my usb connection is not working

I have the newer white controller and it turns on for a few seconds when i have it directly plugged into my pc, but then it shuts off. I have no idea why. Ive even tried it with the battery pack. It still doesn't work. I have an Elite controller that I got over a year ago that still works though. I also have a MOGA controller that i never used that came with a tablet i bought a few years ago.

Hello, this is my problem. I have a USB dongle connected to my PC, i can connect my controller to my PC without any problems, however, if i turn off the controller or it turns off due to inactivity, when i press the xbox button to turn it back on, it just keeps flashing and it doesn't connect even though it has already been paired up with my PC and then i have to delete it from the devices list and pair it up again... and i'm tired of doing that, why is this happening? is there any way to solve it?

I don't understans because my controller is connected to my pc but it doesn't work on the games. I was playing while my controller disconnected randomly as it does sometimes but then this time it doesn't work again on the games unless I restart my PC and I don't wanna do that everytime because it stops working pretty fast.

This helped me for rechargeable batteries-> Remove the batteries from the controller and re insert them, click on the xbox button till it starts blinking (it blinks at two speeds, pressing this button makes it blink slowly) now go to the Bluetooth settings and connect to the device. You'd notice it says connecting but it isn't. Now press the tiny circle present at the head of the console (near the Right shoulder and left shoulder buttons) whilst the connecting message still displays, pressing this makes the xbox sign blink twice as fast as it did when you pressed it. The connection should now be established. I've wondered how I got it working the first time I got this controller a year ago.

I’ve been using my controller for nfs unbound with no problems but today when I plugged it in, via a Xbox usb c cable it vibrated but the light didn’t turn on and when I turned it on it just blinked, I tried unplugging my Xbox but it still didn’t work.

my controller would connect just fucking fine for years and now it just dont even pop up in the devices. i cant even connect it with usb because either all my usb cables are fucked or the usb port is fucked on the controller which is extremely common and usually happens after a week of using the usb port. terrible products.

This is infuriatingly stupid. Months ago I tried connecting my xbox series S controller to my android phone and it wouldn't work but cable worked. Now I want to use my controller on my PC so I bought an adapter and it doesn't connect to that, my android table, or my phone still. So this controller is just crap then? I've tried everything. Rebooting thins, updating controller, regular AA batteries instead of rechargeable. Is the controller just broken? How do I get that fixed? Pretty sure I'm past warranty as I've had it almost 2 years.

just bought a new xbox controller , it legit says wireless and bluetooth on the box , yet it wont even turn on without it being wired.

My problem is that it says it paired but it doesn’t work and the controller flashes if I remove it from devises and try connect it again it says try connect again it only connects when I restart my pc

Downloading Xbox Accessories solved the issue after updating my controller. So it's the first thing I recommend if you have this kind of problem

for those of u who can connect to your phone but not pc, did u try forgetting the controller in bluetooth settings and then syncing it up again? i have to do it after each time i connect to my phone.

I just pressed the little button that is between L1 and R1 for a few seconds and the light on the center started blinking faster fixing the problem!

Here's what worked for me. Plug in your dongle, plug in your controller with a wire to the PC. This will cause the PC to recognize the controller so you can remove the wire. I went an extra step and restarted my PC just in case. That worked.

The reason I'm trying to go wireless is so that way I am surrounded by less chords less tangles and I literally have the Bluetooth controller sitting on top of my laptop when I'm trying to connect it is right there right next to it so it should connect but it doesn't I appreciate your video you are very wise man and I hope that you continue to be thank you for your help

wut the HELL i just did a windows update and a graphics driver update and now my series X controller is not pairing via bluetooth usb is fine tho

I have the instinct scuf and it just constantly drops out, while I have been plugged in for the longest time I am moving over to my TV as I wfh and sit at the same desk all day. While my TV is larger and has better fps than my monitor. I am so unsure why this happens and it seems pretty hard to get in touch with them and I have just realised that the warranty is only six months which is very disappointing, if anyone knows why this may be dropping out please let me know
