Missy, what is so special about this song, is you always project such a beautifully polished image. You always have such self respect and pride in your songs and your performances. I’m always so proud that the media has still not tarnished your beautiful reputation. But this song has just helped me enormously at this time that I am in the swanno. Because you’ve still presented this song so beautifully, but it’s like.. yeah.. I’m not alone. I’ve got these craters all around my body and throughout my life, and Missy has just admitted she has these imperfections too.. this amazing artist with such a perfect image, is just as imperfect as the rest of us. And it’s just such a gorgeous song, and you’ve just.. helped me so much ❤️

I have loved Missy Higgins for more than a decade. This song doesn’t speak to me the way her earlier work did, but I deeply felt the cathartic feeling that was expressed in the story telling and video. Keep telling your truth Missy, we love you.

I feel a deep primal pull to replicate this in some way, as a symbolism of how far I've come since my own divorce, how much mess I've had to navigate but how vividly the strokes of that journey have painted me into the strong, vibrant, colourful women I am now (back to).
