Is this somekind like kotobukiya or GSC buy the GK license sculpture design to made it genuine figure?
ОтветитьI once bought a Raita figure. Zettai Junpaku Mahou Shoujo Erika Cheerleader ver. I sold it before knowing it was no longer available. I did feel a bit sad since the quality is really good
ОтветитьIt doesn't really make sense for a licensed company to copy an unlicensed one. It will only devalue their product.
My guess is that the unlicensed company got hold of an early rendering of the figure and quickly produced it, while the lincensed company's production was delayed for some or other reason.
Nah. Theres always the melted face syndrome
Ответитьfrankly as long as it's well made & worth the price then I don't have a problem with it.
purchasing original licensed item is for the "security" of knowing it is well made;
buying "bootleg" from unknown source have risk, ability to risk that money is up to personal situation.
but then again as you pointed out, some licensed original companies also produce bad products... 🤣🤣😆😆
this whole "bootleg" talk has more layers than an onion. but i do find myself looking at my figure collection and wondering if certain pieces are bootleg and it does leave a bad feeling, even if it's high quality. I got no problem with unlicensed, i got a dream of buying a figure of Entoma from Overlord
ОтветитьI seen this very same figures the other day if you are not that trained at looking on figures you will not notice the difference, on this case the difference is the base and the quality of paint job and the model's mold I can see some seam line from the unofficial figure and it's kinda more look like a cheap plastic Apex make it more detailed more cleaner and much more pleasing to the eyes to look at.
ОтветитьI have the Shuten Doji with the fan; I think what they did was make a separate 3D sculpt based on the same illustration that the GK is done after. The quality is pretty decent, kinda like a Taito one; there are no seams, but I had to add shading. Also, her eyes were red and not purple for some reason, so I repainted them to the proper color. Not gonna lie, looking at that Abigail for my witch shelf - she's way too cool to skip out on.
ОтветитьWhere was this announced? I can't find anything about it on the official game website and I want to know about future Genshin figures
ОтветитьVery interesting topic. I didn’t know about that issue up until now. Well, most or all of the figures are Made In China which makes it easier to duplicate😅. I agree about the licensing part, we really don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes. Yes, we would love to support the sculptors, companies and artists by buying the licensed products but a lot of times because of the licensing part, there’s a huge gap between prices compared to third party unlicensed ones. If a particular unlicensed figure is of “better product ” than licensed ones, it’s not wrong to choose the better ones in my opinion. Just buy the one that makes you happy😆
ОтветитьTime vs skill vs money
Usual balance
It's not really "bootleg" of the authentic figures, since many "bootleg" gesnhin figure is of characters who doesn't have an official licensed figure. It's more of a bootleg toward the original figure, due to most of these genshin figures are based on those GK (garage kit). And by that logic, GK can be consider bootleg, but it is not.
IMO the term "bootleg" only apply to a fake copy of a certain figures, for an example my Saber Maid 1/6 scale by Alter, it does have a bootleg version. But I wouldn't call a GK figure of saber in maid outfit a "bootleg" of the one made by Alter.
So yeah these genshin figures are usually just 3rd party or bootleg of the original GK figure. The ones that's actually bootleg are Ganyu and Ningguang, where they come out after and basically just copy paste the officials one.
Because both use same image as reference; her profile card :P
