How to Reset HP Ink Level

For anyone who this method doesn't work:
Most HP printers just remember the levels of the last 2 (or 4, depending on printer model and firmware.) cartridges used during a powerdown.
So the trick is to always keep 2 (or 4) other old cartridges at hand and number these as 1 to 2 (or 4)
After refilling your cartridge first place the other 2 (or 4) cartridges one after another in number sequence. After placing the last cartridge turn off the printer (this will make sure the last 2 (or 4) used cartridges are stored.). Than remove power from the printer for a minute or so (this will make sure any other used cartridges are cleared from RAM.) and plug it back in. Than place the refilled cartridge and it will be seen as a new cartridge and so it will show as full again.

(PS the method in this video tries to do exactly the same: Trying to make the printer think 2 other cartridges are inserted to make it "forget" the old one. This doesn't work for all printers though, it might even not work on the same printer with newer firmware.)
