Kinda makes me wonder why Allie was so against Cole, sure when he came in he wasn’t in the brands image but he eventually became what the brand image is now
ОтветитьNot going to lie, I remember meeting Jon Allie my first time skating at BlackBox park. Guy was a complete dickhead!
ОтветитьI bet he’s got a nice house tho 😂
ОтветитьFallen makes great shoes. The 2000s styles looked better, but the 2020s models definitely perform better. On my fourth pair in a row. Just got The Troopers and they're everything you could want from a shoe. The Chief got pretty screwed over in that whole business, but he did create some of the very best skate companies. You seriously deserve something out of it, if not respect
ОтветитьJust watched Welcome To Hell again whoooah 🤙
ОтветитьCole looks board
ОтветитьI rocked Fallen hard back in 2007
Ответитьscrew addidas and especially screw nike, The fakest skateboarding shoes around. I hope they go out of business.
ОтветитьToo see Fallen nockoffs or relabels in swapmeets selling for high dollar breaks my heart. Theyre obvious Fallen shoes sold in bulk with no label through some distrobution process.
ОтветитьAmazing.
ОтветитьThe quality of the clothing from Fallen is the worst I have owned of skating apparel, a close second is Sweet Skateboards. Their stuff looks good, but falls apart quickly.
ОтветитьJon Allie sounds like a diva......I remember the name Chris Cole 100 percent.....I remember the name Jamie Thomas 1000 percent.....I had to look up Jon Allie....🤷
ОтветитьI definitely skated on a farm in Wisconsin lol
ОтветитьYeah that's definitely the Fear Factory logo.
Ответитьfallen is amazing now
Ответитьit’s also cool to see people from different teams interact
ОтветитьHail to the chief always
ОтветитьJamie brought zero tour to every city in Canada when they started. I was young but it was amazing. They skated through the streets with the whole crowd after and all gave away multiple boards after 15 mins of use
ОтветитьIt was K2, it was corny because it's a rollerblade company. I couldn't agree more, Jamie.
ОтветитьMan Fallen and Zero were my favorite growing up and I always wonder wtf happened.
ОтветитьAbsolute pioneer in the game but he comes off as pretty arrogant.
ОтветитьWISH YOU COULD BE TOY MACHINE.
ОтветитьI wanted to be this man so badly when I was young haha.
ОтветитьBig respect on having the foresight to steer clear of corporate ownership. The company I worked over a decade of my life for got bought out by a mega corp a few years back and it just sucked the life out of everything. Decisions get made and orders handed down related to financial issues on the other side of the globe. Despite my region having its busiest and best financial quarters I consistently had to tell my 30+ overworked staff that our operating budget was getting cut again. Corporate sucks.
ОтветитьI feel like Jon Allie was just worried Chris would take his spotlight. Jealousy is a bitch.
ОтветитьThe AB blend feature is so AMAZING. So many creative uses for it. I use it so much 🙌🙌
Ответить"I'm a recovering workaholic" hahaha
ОтветитьI don't see why Chris wasn't seen as a good fit, I couldn't imagine him on any other team.
ОтветитьI’m in Indiana in the middle of bfe and I have skated sense I was 5. And zero is one of my favorite board companies because of Jamie and cole. It would sucked if I couldn’t get any skateboards here.
ОтветитьI took from this a lesson in bad business. A what not to do.
ОтветитьFallen is finally fallen. 😂
ОтветитьThe Art of the Business of Skateboarding 😮
ОтветитьI remember on SKATE wanting the fallen shoe sponsor so bad
ОтветитьFirst expensive shoes I ever purchased. I was in 8th grade and there was a skate shop across the street from our school everyone would go to. I remember I spent like $60 on a pair of grey shoes. My buddies dad tried saying they were affiliated with the Illuminati because of the name lol
ОтветитьJamie is the man but dude there is a loooooot of skateboard companies. It’s like every skater is making their own companies now. And of all the names for a company “Fallen” sounds exactly like Falling. I just could never wear the products, I mean I’ve fractured my arm for falling on a skateboard 🛹. Fallen just never sounded like a good name, Zero is not very good either. He’s a good skater but kind of lacks the real creativity to make creative brands. I understand the reasoning behind Zero about not really standing out, but you got to admit it’s basically Zero creativity behind a lot of it. I just hate it cause Fallen made awesome shoes and nobody wore them besides people that might have like Jaime
ОтветитьThis is crazy. Grew up watching these guys skate in the early 2000s and now in my 30s watching them in podcasts 😢😅
ОтветитьSo many skaters in the industry didn't like Chris. idk why it's like they knew he would rise to legendary status and didn't want it to happen....
ОтветитьDude why didn’t cole become a model
Ответитьall the legend brands great storys :)
ОтветитьHe did well to admit fault but
ОтветитьMaybe because I’m watching online I can’t help but feel like Jamie is kind of an narcissistic
ОтветитьEven in skateboarding you can’t get away from politics
ОтветитьZero success was dependent on THPS game promo, and Fallen needed CCS to stay successful.
THPS became less relevant over time, and kids nowadays don't even know what CCS is.
I have a jacket hoodie that you can zipper off the hood. Super unique and haven’t found one like it since.
ОтветитьCole WAS Fallen. End of story
ОтветитьI want to see this circa Cole shoe that designed , been trying to find it
Ответитьleap of faith ..
launched skateboarding into what it is today ..
I'm a socal (Ventura) millennial ..
this is guaranteed .
Chris killed it on dying to live
ОтветитьWow take two zeros away and that's my debt!
ОтветитьMy best friends started a skate shop in our small town in Northern California. One of the first brands they went after to bring into the store was Zero. I'll never forget reading the email they sent back saying the shop wouldn't make them enough money so there was no point sending them product. FUCK JAMIE THOMAS & FUCK ZERO I'm glad they failed.
