I know the ending to Borderlands the Pre-Sequel completely changed the entire Borderlands series for me. I used to like Lilith. Then I found out she was the one who burned the vault symbol into a until-then-kinda-nice Handsome Jack's face, completely turning him into a villain, and for what? Because he MIGHT turn into a bad guy? Moxxi I could understand had several reasons for turning on him, but Lilith had NOTHING. And the vault symbol to the face was just completely unnecessary, there's zero chance she thought that was going to do anything more than piss him off. The whole thing in Borderlands 2 was YOUR fault, Lily! I think I may be the only one who celebrated when Lilith turned into the moon in Borderlands 3. Zero sympathy for her from me.

I kind of wish there was a way to choose to stick to the original story for FF7. We won't know for years, but I imagine a lot of time and money is going into what is ultimately an inferior story.

Finale fantasy 7, it is called a remake for a reason, remakes will change a few of lots of things while remastered is going to be the same but better.

The change of the story of the ff7 remake is the reason I won't be playing the other games. They didn't have to do something so stupid and convoluted to change story aspect.

"Second sight" - the whole game we thought the main character has the power to change the past, but right before last boss we discover that was actualy the present. And what we thought was a present is a foretold future.

If you ever do a comment version of this (or another one if you already have), I'd highly recommend Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward (or Zero Escape: 999) for a good solid twist ending that left me yelling "What?!?!?!?" to myself for about an hour after finishing each of them.

It's not exactly a twist *ending*, but Persona 5 has a fairly big twist where you discover that Joker getting captured and interrogated by the police was actually all part of the Phantom Thieves' plan to avoid Joker being killed by the true perpetrator of the Mental Shutdown and Psychotic Breakdown cases, by causing him to instead kill a cognitive replica inside the metaverse, and the only reason you, the player didn't know, is because the police pumped him full of drugs that messed with his memory

Bugsnax?! That games ending was so insane but so obvious when you go back knowing what they are!

The Monkey Island 2 ending was always implied to be some sort of spell because you see LeChuck transform while breaking the 4th wall.

I’ll give FF7R this. Didn’t imagine a twist being that the remake…wasn’t a remake. Didn’t think it would be a time traveling sequel story.

I still hate that it takes away any chance for a real remake of FF7 ever. But is what it is. Solid twist that turned a potential remake into…a disappointment.

I just played braid and did some research and there's an even deeper meaning to the game if u get the true ending which shows that braid is actually about atomic weapons

MGS V twist was so weak.

I fired the game day one. If you pay attention, Kieffer Sutherland didn't even masked his voice as Ishmael. And English isn't even my main language, yet I recognised him.

Gladly there are other revelations in the game even if it wasn't finished but this one was working only if you didn't pay attention and were too distracted by Snake's change of voice actor.
