on two separate playthroughs I left my brother's wife to govern my settlement. I get the notification that it's under siege, so I head over. Both times, as soon as I entered the settlement, the wife immediately becomes pregnant, like seconds after I get there.

a huge lineage? do we want a succession crisis? this is how that happens.

a way around the lose of female clan members is using the arrange marriage mod as this lets you marry them to a minor noble which will then join your clan and be like another loyal follower or even a non noble i did this combined with a few other mods and within 4 in game yrs i had over 40 kids 30 grandkids and 25 greatgrandkids my clans power was so high with jut the family alone in a single party i was wiping out entire factions within a few months add to this other mods that add family members to your char at game start you can end up with 100+ clan members within a yr just be aware managing them all will end up driving you mad

if you play as a female character and get married early enough you can have like 5 kids idk if theres an upperlimit cause i havent bothered in a while finding a husband is a pain cause you have a time limit and they wont let you deal with commoners and instead of getting inducted inot a clan you just take your husband from his clan .

Whats the point in making your clan huge if you can't give any of them fiefs and you can other have 4 other parties in your clan, you essentially just have a huge clan of useless people so can someone please explain how you get all your family members to make their own parties and how to give them fiefs because if you can only have 5 parties including your own how the f do i defend an entire kingdom with just 5 parties?? That's impossible so why waste all that time making kids

I think the whole family component is useless because it takes sooooooo long for your children to even be useable by the time they join you, you already conquered everything

Also, you are mispronouncing Vlandia and a bunch of other stuff. Look at it closely it starts with V and L. No vowel. It's pronounced exactly like LANDIA with a V sound in front.

Honestly the marriage proposals for the women in your family popping up 20x is annoying so I just try to be a good lad and marry them to someone who is merciful, honest and a good person lol.

At least for the first generation, better don't accept marriage offers for your male clan members blindly either. Check the proposed wife in the encyclopedia to find out if her stats are any good. Also her culture can be important if you eventually want to use her or her future children as governors. You can also actively propose marriage alliances to other clan leaders with suitable unmarried clan members by talking to them about it, you don't have to wait until you get a random marriage offer that is any good.

How are you able to have all the npc's discovered at the outset? is that a mod or something?

No matter how big your clan is, you can only field 5 parties at a time. Also not marrying your female clan members is kind of cruel to them. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter cause by the time children reach 18 most people have already conquered all of Calradia. To me personally, having children is just part of the role playing aspect of this game with no real benefits. It's also funny since children inherit traits and skills from the parents. My twin daughters in the last campaign had 250+ in most skills at level 1
