Hope you learned something! 🤙🏻
ОтветитьThanks, but you didn't mention the most important issue. It is necessary to set the Cache File location setting one by one in each project. Isn't there only one way to do this? The cache file location returns to default settings in every new project. How can we fix this?
ОтветитьThanks for this. First, I was not aware that DaVinci Resolve did this, in deleting the cache files, I managed to get back 98Gb. So much more space.
Ответитьthanks
ОтветитьJesus, I had 715GB of Cache! Thanks!
ОтветитьYou have to be careful with this. For example, if you have recorded some voiceovers in Davinci Resolve for example and still want to edit it this will delete those! See that "audio" folder there. They are stored in there. If I have ongoing project I have recorded audio in it I just keep the "audio" folder when I'm deleting these.
ОтветитьGreat! Thanks very much!
ОтветитьJust freed 605gb thanks so much for the video 🙏
ОтветитьSo helpful!! thankssss
ОтветитьHow can you delete render cache automatically, every time you open Davinci ?
ОтветитьI had over 750 gigs in there lol. Thanks for your help Josh.
ОтветитьI new to resolve and bounce back and forth between my desktop and my laptop like you do for travel. I thought I would be tricky and use dropbox to store my cache folder and allow to sync...........yeah I think that sorta works. But I was using my phone as a hotspot on my last trip and ran out of hotspot data almost instantly. It was syncing files from desktop to laptop and crushing me. I think it is possible it also crushed the speed of resolve on my laptop. But resolve is not premiere in this respect. It saves those files forever and builds up HUGE. For stills the dropbox thing might work though. I need to dedicate some time and test at home and not get bit on the butt again on the road.
ОтветитьDidn't work my cache clip already empty but still davinci took over 30GB I'm at 0GB.. into the next vide... oh wait... I already saw all of them there's no solution..
Davinci is literally taking my storage for just using it not RENDER OR ANYTHING At all I'm just adding videos and cutting and still it takes 10Gb for just adding and cutting nothing else.. Is like taking 200-500Mb per minute non stop
thank you sir!
ОтветитьOk, so I figured this was my problem but didn't know where to locate the files. So I freed up 1.17 TB!!! Thanks for the video, you're a lifesaver!!! 🙏 🙏 🙏
Ответитьinteresting and audio is also safe to remove? I held back on that and the optimized media
ОтветитьHow do we delete individual videos? I don't want to delete all of the files yet cause I'm still working on some videos.
Ответитьomg I just freed up 370GB I'm so ashamed THANK YOU
Ответитьthanks for the warning to rather not delete render cache when you're still woking on a project. I deleted them before because I was advised to do so and guess what...when I opened the project, I had all media offline on a timeline, not a single one was there. Only after I put them back from the bin to the cache folder that everything worked.
Ответитьthanks brother!, i manage to erase almost 100gb!. Awesome video
ОтветитьThanks a lot! Got back over 100 GB :)
